  • Publication number: 20120142479
Abstract: A transmission module 1 has an input 3 which can be connected to a drive source, and an output 5 which can be connected to a differential. The transmission module 1 further has a clutch 7 and an epicyclic gearing 21 with three rotational members, of which a first rotational member 23 is connected to the clutch housing 9, a second rotational member 25 is connected to a brake 27 and a third rotational member 29 is coupled to the output 5. A transmission 31 also forms part of the transmission module 1. Between the clutch 7 and the epicyclic gearing 21 is located a partition 45 which is connected to the transmission housing 33 while a wet space 47 is formed between the partition and the transmission housing. The actuation cylinder 15 of the clutch, the operating cylinders 48 of the brake 27, as well as the oil pipes leading to it are fixed to the partition 45 as a result of which the actuation is arranged as a single module.

  • Publication number: 20120090569
Abstract: A drive mechanism 1 comprises a combustion engine 3 and a start system 5 which has an output 7 that is connected to a camshaft 9 of the combustion engine. The start system further includes a flywheel 11 and connecting means connecting the flywheel to the output. The connecting means comprise a clutch 13 and a gear reduction 15. The start system 5 further includes a drive source 17 formed by an electromotor which is directly connected to the flywheel 11 or which is connected to the connecting means between the clutch 13 and the flywheel 11. The maximum power that can be delivered by the drive source 17 is just sufficient to maintain the flywheel at the proper r.p.m. If the drive source 17 is turned on, it thus delivers just sufficient power to maintain the flywheel at the proper r.p.m. The maximum power of the drive source is in this case 50 W.

  • Publication number: 20120028752
Abstract: A flywheel module comprises a coupling unit which has an input shaft and an output shaft. This coupling unit has a first coupling of which a first coupling half can be connected to a combustion engine and a second coupling half can be connected to a continuously variable transmission. The flywheel module further comprises a flywheel unit which has an in/output and is formed by a flywheel and a reduction gear unit connected to the flywheel. This flywheel unit is exclusively connected to the in/output via the coupling unit.

  • Publication number: 20110281681
Abstract: A driving mechanism has a drive source which is coupled via a clutch to an oil lubricated transmission, and a transmission module which is present parallel to the transmission. The transmission module has a planetary gearing of which a first rotational member is bearing supported on an insert sleeve attached to an operating cylinder for the clutch and is connected to a connecting plate which is attached to a first clutch portion of the clutch. A second rotational member is connected to a connecting gear. A third rotational member is formed by a ring gear which has side guards maintain grease inside the planetary set of gears.

  • Publication number: 20110271790
Abstract: A flywheel module has a flywheel as well as a speed transforming device which has a first in/output which is connected to the flywheel, and a second in/output which is coupled to a drive line of a vehicle. The speed transforming device has a bypass speed transforming device and a motor and/or generator. Energy can then be exchanged with the flywheel by suitably controlling the motor and/or generator. As a result of the delivery of a negative torque by the motor and/or generator, the flywheel accelerates and because of the delivery of a positive torque by the motor and/or generator the flywheel decelerates.

  • Patent number: 7824294
Abstract: A vehicle comprises a drive source that drives the wheels via a transmission system. The transmission system has an epicyclic gearing with three rotational members a first rotational member connected to the drive source, a second rotational member connected to the wheels via a first reduction and a final reduction and a third rotational member connected to a brake. The brake constitutes reaction means for balancing torque. The transmission system also includes a transmission parallel to the epicyclic gearing and a transmission in series with the epicyclic gearing. Moreover, the transmission system has a lock-up clutch capable of connecting the first rotational member to the second rotational member. This transmission system enables shifting between various transmission ratios without torque interruption, using only one brake. The transmission in series with the epicyclic gearing can directly be connected to the load via the lock-up clutch or via the ‘braked ’ planetary set.

  • Patent number: 7765887
Abstract: A drive has a drive source and a continuously variable transmission, with an outgoing shaft having a first gear wheel. A clutch is present between the drive source and the ingoing shaft. The outgoing shaft of the transmission is connected to a gear wheel connected to a differential via a drive line for driving forwards. The drive line has an intermediate shaft with thereon a second gear wheel, which is interlocked with the first gear wheel and the third gear wheel, which is interlocked with the gear wheel. For reversing, the drive line can be interrupted by means of a disengagement and the drive is provided with a further drive line between the gear wheel that is connected to the differential and the outgoing shaft of the transmission.

  • Publication number: 20080307917
Abstract: A gear changing device (1) has a gear lever (3) to operate a vehicle gear box, and several sensors to detect the movement of the gear lever with respect to the surroundings as a result of a force exerted by a user on the gear lever. The gear-changing device also has two electrical motors (5, 7), which are connected to the gear lever (3) via transmissions (9, 11). The transmission (9, 11) are formed by self-braking worm-worm wheel transmissions. The gear lever (3) can only be shifted if the electrical motors are actuated. The electrical motors shift the gear lever or permit the movement of the gear lever, depending on the sensor signals. The movement speed of the gear lever in this is such that it appears to the user that he has to overcome resistance to be able to shift the gear lever, so that the gear lever exercises a haptic effect.

  • Publication number: 20080282824
Abstract: A drive has a drive source connected with an automatic manual gearbox. A friction clutch is positioned between the drive source and the gearbox. The drive also has a differential, which with a gear wheel engages a first gear wheel on the gearbox output shaft, as well as a gear module to change the transmission in the gear without interrupting the drive. The gear module has a brake and a bypass transmission with three rotation bodies of which a first rotation body is connected to the first clutch part, a second rotation body is connected to a connecting gear wheel, which engages the first gear wheel, and the third rotation body is connected to the brake. The connections of the rotation bodies to the parts stated and respectively of the drive are made in this as splines.
