  • Publication number: 20230217154
Abstract: An acoustic sensor assembly includes a housing having an external-device interface and a sound port to an interior of the housing. An electro-acoustic transducer and an electrical circuit are disposed within the housing. The electro-acoustic transducer separates the interior into a front volume and a back volume, where the sound port acoustically couples the front volume to an exterior of the housing. The back volume includes a first portion and a second portion. The electrical circuit is electrically coupled to the electro-acoustic transducer and to the external-device interface. One or more apertures acoustically couple the first and second portions of the back volume and are structured to shape a frequency response of the acoustic sensor assembly.

  • Patent number: 11659311
Abstract: A one-piece sound port adapter for a microphone assembly includes a body member configured to be fitted over a sound port of the microphone assembly. The body member includes an acoustic channel defined in part by a cavity having a sound inlet and a sound outlet, where the sound outlet is acoustically coupled to the sound port. A wall portion of the body member extends into the cavity and configured to modify an acoustic property of the acoustic channel. When mounted, the one-piece sound port adapter converts the microphone assembly from a top or bottom port microphone assembly to a side-port microphone assembly.

  • Publication number: 20190342666
Abstract: An acoustic receiver diaphragm includes a frame with an opening extending therethrough. A paddle is disposed in the opening, and a gap extends between portions of the paddle and the frame. A hinge connects the paddle to the frame. The hinge has a coined portion, and the paddle is movable relative to the frame upon flexing the coined portion of the hinge. A portion of the frame, the paddle, and the hinge form an unassembled, single-piece substantially planar member.

  • Patent number: 9485594
Abstract: An acoustic apparatus includes a mechanical shell, a first electronic component, a first connector, and a receiver. The mechanical shell is generally cylindrical in shape and forms a cavity, the shell having an inner surface, the inter surface in communication with the cavity. The first electronic component is disposed in the cavity. The first connector includes electrical contacts and is disposed on the inner surface of the shell. A first electrical connection electrically couples the microphone to the first connector. The receiver is disposed in the cavity, and the receiver has a second connector. An electrical connection is formed between the first electronic component and the receiver via the first connector and the second connector. A rotation of the shell causes the electrical contacts to rotate within or with respect to the second connector such that the rotation does not cause the electrical connection between the first connector and the second connector to be broken.

  • Patent number: 7446783
Abstract: A system and method for zooming into or out of an image on a screen, in which the image is displayed on a touch screen, and a user zooms into a portion of the image by placing a stylus at a desired image point on the screen. The system repeatedly enlarges the image about the image point indicated by the stylus until the user moves the stylus off of the screen, so that whilst the stylus is on the screen, the user sees a continuous enlargement about the point of the stylus. If the stylus is dragged across the screen during the zoom, then the center of the zoom changes to follow the stylus. A zoom-out action may occur in a similar manner to the zoom-in action.
