Patent number: 11941179Abstract: A system and method for displaying images of internal anatomy includes an image processing device configured to provide high resolution images of the surgical field from low resolution scans during the procedure. The image processing device digitally manipulates a previously-obtained high resolution baseline image to produce many representative images based on permutations of movement of the baseline image. During the procedure a representative image is selected having an acceptable degree of correlation to the new low resolution image. The selected representative image and the new image are merged to provide a higher resolution image of the surgical field. The image processing device is also configured to provide interactive movement of the displayed image based on movement of the imaging device, and to permit placement of annotations on the displayed image to facilitate communication between the radiology technician and the surgeon.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2021Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: NuVasive, Inc.Inventors: Robert E. Isaacs, Samuel Morris Johnston, David Alexander Skwerer, Randall Graham Campbell

Patent number: 11821202Abstract: A prefabricated concrete form with vertical spacers between fill forming cladding with cut-outs in the spacers having horizontal rebar received therethrough and received therein. Stand-offs are provided between the vertical spacers with vertical rebar received on the stand-offs. In one version, the stand-offs are attached to the horizontal rebar. In other versions, the stand-offs are attached to the spacers. A cut-out is formed in one of the claddings to form an auxiliary fill space on the outside of the cladding, which when filled with concrete, upon hardening, forms a ledge for supporting a stair structure.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2021Date of Patent: November 21, 2023Assignee: Framing Systems, Inc.Inventors: Kevin Roger Wyman, Trevor Frank Wyman, Roger Alexander Johnston

Publication number: 20160324188Abstract: Systems and methods for estimating meat producing animal feed conversion efficiency and carbon footprint, such as to allow adjustments to be made in the animals feed to improve meat production, reduce waste, and/or reduce the carbon footprint. In embodiments of the present application, a system is provided that integrates a digestion model of an animal feed with weight gain efficiency and carbon footprint. Such systems and methods are useful to analyze and compare different animal feed compositions that differ from one another in one or more components and/or to analyze the effect of the addition of a feed supplement on weight gain efficiency and/or carbon footprint. In embodiments, the systems and methods described herein provide a feed parameter-carbon footprint compromise. A feed parameter-carbon footprint compromise is useful to adjust animal feed composition by balancing weight gain efficiency with effects on carbon footprint.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2014Publication date: November 10, 2016Applicant: Alltech, Inc.Inventors: James Dennison JOHNSTON, Robin Alexander JOHNSTON, Tyler Cole BRAMBLE, Karl A. DAWSON
