  • Patent number: 7429148
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for arranging a foundation pile in the ground using a ground displacement drill, wherein a hollow drill pipe with a ground displacement drill attached thereto are jointly introduced as a foundation pile, with the aid of a pile cap coupled to the hollow drill pipe, into the ground under axial pressure, whilst rotating, and wherein during the introduction into the ground, via a liquid supply extending through the pile cap and the foundation pile, a liquid medium is supplied through the ground displacement drill to the ground, and wherein, after the foundation pile has been arranged sufficiently deep in the ground, the pile cap is thereupon uncoupled from the foundation pile and retracted from the ground, leaving the foundation pile behind, wherein during retraction of the pile cap, liquid is supplied via the pile cap to the space formed between the pile cap and the foundation pile.

  • Patent number: 6375392
Abstract: A method for constructing an underground wall in a soil formation includes arranging a plurality of drilling pipes in a predetermined pattern adjacent to one another. Each of the drilling pipes has an open distal end, a plurality of teeth radially extending therefrom and at least one channel shaped profile extending along the length thereof. The drilling pipes are rotatably driven into the soil while a hardening liquid is injected into soil loosened by the plurality of teeth. The hardening liquid is agitated and mixed with the loosened soil as each of the drilling pipes is driven into the soil. The mixture of the loosened soil and the hardening liquid is solidified in situ in each of the drilling pipes.

  • Patent number: 6082472
Abstract: An earth displacement drill is provided including a drill tube which can be driven for rotary movement and a boring tip connected thereto, wherein the boring tip has a cylindrical part which adjoins the drill tube and has at least two helical strips uniformly distributed around the circumference, which climb upwardly at a shallow angle, with the flat side of the strips preferably extending substantially parallel to the radius at the relevant position and in particular only over a fraction of the circumference of the cylindrical part. The boring tip also has a tapering part located beneath the cylindrical part and having at least two arched surfaces which are uniformly distributed around the tapering part. These arched surfaces expediently extend approximately parallel to the vertical and preferably more steeply than the helical strips.

  • Patent number: 5697734
Abstract: A method for forming a foundation pile in the ground utilizing a prefabricated pile shaft, placed with clearance into a tube screwed into the bearing ground layer, which tube is provided with a screw blade. Between the wall of the tube and the pile shaft a self-hardening mass is provided. The tube can be removed from the ground in the unscrewing direction while operating as a screw conveyor. The tube may also be retracted from the ground, initially without rotation, with a thick skin of self-hardening mass being formed around the pile shaft, which mass is subsequently pressurized by causing the tube to function as a screw conveyor.
