  • Publication number: 20140144396
Abstract: A power tool has an internal combustion engine with a piston supported in the cylinder and delimiting a combustion chamber. A crankshaft is rotatably supported in the crankcase and driven by the piston. Combustion air is supplied to the combustion chamber via an intake passage that has a piston-controlled inlet opening and an intake section formed within the cylinder. The bottom of the intake section, when the cylinder axis is vertical and the crankcase is beneath the combustion chamber, connects lowermost points of passage cross-sections arranged in the intake section perpendicular to the flow direction. The bottom descends toward the crankcase when the longitudinal cylinder axis is vertical. A ramp arranged in the intake passage next to the inlet opening deflects a portion of flow flowing within the intake passage. The ramp, when the longitudinal cylinder axis is vertical, ascends in flow direction toward the crankcase.

  • Patent number: 8561971
Abstract: A carburetor has a throttle element rotatably supported on a throttle shaft and a choke element rotatably supported on a choke shaft. A first coupling element is fixedly connected to the throttle shaft. A second coupling element is connected to the choke shaft. The first and second coupling elements define in a locked position a start position of throttle element and choke element. The locked position is released by rotation of the throttle shaft in opening direction of the throttle element. The locked position is released by rotation of the choke shaft in opening direction of the choke element. One of the first and second coupling elements is an at least partially elastic coupling element. Upon rotation of the choke shaft from the locked position into an open position, the elastic coupling element is elastically deformed and releases the locked position between the first and second coupling elements.

  • Patent number: 8299192
Abstract: Statistic comb polymers obtainable by the radical copolymerization of a vinylic poly(alkylenoxide) compound (A) with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer compound (B) according to the catalytic chain transfer method (CCT). The comb polymers are extremely suitable for hydraulic binder suspensions based on cement, lime, gypsum and anhydrite as they have, for the same dosage, an improved water reducing power over conventional flow agents. The corresponding building material mixtures are characterized by a substantially reduced stickiness and plastic viscosity once said comb polymers are added, which dramatically improves the plasticity of very cement-rich building material mixtures, such as concretes. The building material mixtures using the inventive flow agents have a considerably increased slump flow and an increased shear-thinning behavior as compared to conventional concretes without the tendency to segregate.
