  • Publication number: 20220376511
Abstract: In an embodiment, an auxiliary-power-supply unit includes a connector and a controller configured to power a microgrid from a battery in response to determining that the connector is plugged into an outlet of the microgrid, and that the microgrid is uncoupled from a power grid. For example, the connector plugs into a wall outlet of a microgrid in, e.g., a home, and provides, from the battery during a power outage, auxiliary power to the microgrid and, therefore, provides auxiliary power to one or more devices, such as appliances, lights, computers, or televisions, that are connected to the microgrid.

  • Publication number: 20220166089
Abstract: A method and system provide a plurality of power cell modules. The power cell modules can be stacked together such that they are electrically connected and share a collective multi-voltage bus. Electronic appliances can be connected to one of the power cell modules to be powered by all of the connected power cell modules. Power cell modules can be easily added or removed from the bank without interrupting the supply of power to the electronic appliance.

  • Patent number: 10540435
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel approach to displaying spreadsheets on mobile devices (e.g., cell phones, tablets, etc.) so that they are more easily viewable by the user. Aspects of the present disclosure provide multiple different views of a spreadsheet and simple transitions among those views. The multiple views facilitate the display of important aspects of a spreadsheet and optimize the spreadsheet viewing area. In particular, deck and card views are disclosed, wherein each view corresponds to a different display format of the spreadsheet. Furthermore, editing the spreadsheet data is also provided within these views.

  • Publication number: 20170132198
Abstract: Interactive generation of content is provided for a document. An application, such as a document processing application, detects an intent to create the document based on an input or an inference. The input includes a selection from a set of content structure templates. The inference includes a threshold based event such as a deadline, a reminder, and/or a presence of an editor detected in a specific location, among others. Next, a content structure template based on the document is presented. The content structure template includes question(s) associated with the document.

  • Publication number: 20090252994
Abstract: The invention described here is a modular energy system for electric vehicles. This modular electrical power system is comprised of a group of battery packs, a rack, and a charging and exchange station. Each battery pack fits into a case that has a handle to make it easy to grasp and lift from its holder. Battery packs are limited to no more than thirty pounds each. The battery packs are installed in a rack which is secured to the vehicle. The rack has defined positions or slots in which the battery packs are placed. The battery pack includes heat sinks to remove the heat from the batteries. The charging and exchange station allows the user two options; 1) recharge the vehicle while parked without removing the batteries, or 2) exchange the vehicles batteries for fully charged packs.
