    Abstract: A robotic cleaner includes a housing, a suction conduit with an opening, and a leading roller mounted in front of a brush roll. An inter-roller air passageway may be defined between the leading roller and the brush roll wherein the lower portion of the leading roller is exposed to a flow path to the suction conduit and an upper portion of the leading roller is outside of the flow path. Optionally, a combing unit includes a plurality of combing protrusions extending into the leading roller and having leading edges not aligned with a center of the leading roller. Optionally, a sealing strip is located along a rear side of the opening and along a portion of left and right sides of the opening. The underside may define side edge vacuum passageways extending from the sides of the housing partially between the leading roller and the sealing strip towards the opening.

    Abstract: A marker system includes: a first marker; and a second marker; wherein the first marker and the second marker are configured to emit light from one or more light sources coupled to the first marker and the second marker; and wherein the first marker and the second marker are configured to emit the light for detection by a camera. A method performed using a marker system includes: generating light using one or more light sources; emitting the light at a plurality of markers that are coupled to the light sources; and detecting the light emitted from the plurality of markers using a camera; wherein the act of detecting comprises using one or more filters to reduce ambient light to a level that corresponds with a noise level of the camera while allowing light emitted from the markers to be imaged by the camera.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes a housing, a band which is provided on side of the housing and has a longer length than a circumference of the housing, and a supporter configured to support the band on the side of the housing to enable the band to slide along the side of the housing. The apparatus may include a detector configured to detect a form of the band; a display configured to display a user interface for operating the communication apparatus and a controller configured to control a display position of the user interface based on the form of the band. The detector may detect pressure applied by the band on the housing, and the controller may estimate the form of the band on the basis of the pressure and to control the display position of the user interface on the basis of the estimation result.
