  • Publication number: 20200031434
Abstract: A flexible inflatable container that includes a flexible inflatable core having opposing first and second panel members, each with an interior side. A plurality of longitudinally oriented stringers is disposed on at least one interior side of one of the opposing first and second panel members. Each stringer has at least one edge. Zippers join stringers portions to one another or to the panel members or both. An inflation valve on one of the panel members is provided for introducing fluid into the flexible inflatable core. The core is covered by a flexible outer skin.

  • Patent number: 7137409
Abstract: A multilayered pressure vessel (10) fabricated from at least one single ply sheet of flexible material (100) having an approximate longitudinal midline which divides the material into an inner portion (130) having an inner surface, an outer surface, an edge, a seam allowance, and a width, and an outer portion having an inner surface, an outer surface, an edge, a seam allowance, and a width. The width of the outer portion (120) is greater than the width of the inner portion (140). A primary seam (250) binds the outer portion and the inner portion to the material sheet at the midline proximate the outer portion edge and inner portion edge. The sheet (100) is wrapped into a continuous substantially 720 degree wrap to form a generally cylindrical vessel body having possible multiple fluid passageways, at the election of the user. The primary seam (250) is concealed.

  • Patent number: 7036771
Abstract: A kite safety, control, and depowering device for a kite having an airfoil with leading and trailing edges, at least two control lines attached to the airfoil and a control flying bar attached to at least two of the control lines. The device features a continuous trim and safety flying line disposed at their lower ends over a rapid depowering apparatus. The depowering apparatus includes means for capturing and rapidly releasing an expansion disposed on the trim line, such that when rapid depowering is required, a simply release mechanism may be actuated to change the angle of attack of the airfoil rapidly.

  • Patent number: 6869047
Abstract: A kite safety device for a kite having an airfoil with leading and trailing edges, at least two control lines attached to the airfoil and a control flying bar attached to at least two of the control lines. The device features a trim line having a hollow central passageway, sized and shaped to fit slidably through a central opening in the control flying bar. A safety flying line is attached at its first end to a first point adjacent a midpoint along a centerline extending from the leading edge to the trailing edge and attached through said passageway at its second end to a fixture providing a point for attachment of the flying line to a harness. When the control flying bar is released a user may rotate beneath the kite and when the safety flying line is tensioned, the kite will begin to stall and the kite will descend.
