  • Patent number: 10159413
Abstract: The present invention provides techniques for non-invasive measurement of blood related parameters based on NMR (nuclei) relaxation techniques carried out using a relatively low constant magnetic field in the range of 0.15 to 0.5 Tesla. A plurality of electromagnetic excitation pulse sequences having relatively low radiofrequencies are applied over a living tissue placed in the magnetic field and blood related parameters of the examined subject are determined using a plurality of nuclear spin echo signals received from the tissue in response to the applied excitation sequences, thereby allowing to improve the accuracy of the obtained signals and substantially reducing the time duration of the process.

  • Patent number: 9696397
Abstract: Detection and recognition of taggant substances having predefined zero external field magnetic resonance signatures. An object comprising taggant substance(s) is irradiated with a sequence of specific excitation pulses of electromagnetic radiation within a predetermined time and frequency scanning pattern, responsive nuclear spin echo signals are received from the object with a predetermined time and frequency acquisition pattern and data indicative thereof is generated. The scanning and acquisition patterns used permit successive transmission of pulses of multiple frequencies using a two-pulse spin-echo excitation technique, or a steady state-spin echo excitation technique, and successive acquisition of multiple nuclear spin echo response signals, within a time slot between two successive excitation pulses of a specific excitation frequency.

  • Publication number: 20150301139
Abstract: A non-destructive inspection of epoxy-based objects by creating a substantially uniform magnetic field of about 0.1 to 0.5 Tesla within a magnetic field region at least partially overlapping with a test zone where the inspected object is to be located, applying electromagnetic excitation signals in the test site to affect the nuclei magnetization in the inspected object and concurrently generating magnetic gradients in three orthogonal directions thereinside, to thereby cause spatially resolved nuclear spin echo signals from the inspected object. Data corresponding to electromagnetic radiation received responsive to the nuclear spin echo signals from the inspected object is processed to extract data indicative of the spatially resolved nuclear spin echo signals from the inspected object, and magnetic resonance images indicative of structural defects in the object are then generated using the extracted data.

  • Patent number: 5986550
Abstract: A method of labeling, authenticating and/or identifying a paper, credit/identification card, bank note, article or any other object using both nuclear magnetic resonance in magnetically ordered materials and nuclear quardrupole resonance phenomena as well as other phenomena of electric/magnetic dipole or tunnel transitions between Stark-Zeeman sub-levels, frequencies of which belong to the radio-frequency band. A minor amount of at least one authenticating substance is added to the object, the substance having a strong unique and identifiable response in radio-frequency domain at room temperature, with the spectroscopy being performed in the absence of any supported external static field, and with any specific response (intensity, line width, line shape, splittings, free induction decay, spin echoes or their combinations) being used as a criterion for discrimination.
