  • Patent number: 10657473
Abstract: A role action framework allows for comprehensive control of various objects, data, and behaviors within a procurement and requisitioning application. This framework can be extended to be used by various transactions. A common and central mechanism that makes a supplier relationship management application highly configurable can be provided. This mechanism can allow organizations to customize the application in a manner that is most suitable for the different types of those organizations' users. For example, using this mechanism, users having defined roles within the organization can be limited to appropriate interactions with various facets of the application, such as objects, data, and behaviors. Using the mechanism, an organization can define customized roles, and for each role, the organization can define, for each facet of the application, interactions that users assigned to that role can have relative to that facet.

  • Patent number: 10169808
Abstract: One or more computers may close a purchase order by use of rules. Certain embodiments use values of attributes of a line in a purchase order (PO) to identify a rule among multiple rules. The PO line's attributes which are used to identify the rule are internal to a buyer. When the rule which is identified is disabled, the line is retained unchanged in the purchase order. When the identified rule is not disabled, a user-specified logic which is identified in the rule is used to determine a new value of a numeric term, the numeric term having a preexisting value previously agreed upon by the buyer and the seller, e.g. in units of quantity or units of money. Subsequently, an indication of the line being changed in the purchase order is transmitted to the seller. User may specify different logics in different sets of rules, for different business units.

  • Patent number: 9183184
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a configurable template definition which improves the self-service supplier registration and update process by providing a tailored request to match the needs for the particular type of supplier and collect all the relevant information from them. According to one embodiment, a template page can be made available where the administrator can specify which attributes or attribute groups can be applicable for each type of supplier when registering or updating their data. Profile questions can be selected from the master list and associated to the template. The registration process can then be coded to hide or show individual attributes or groups of attributes and individual profile questions based on the selection in the related template.
