Patent number: 9145915Abstract: A support frame assembly for supporting a plow, or another front-mounted implement, on a small vehicle such as an all-terrain vehicle (“ATV”) is provided. The frame assembly comprises a front portion and a rear portion. The front portion is typically raised with respect to the rear portion, allowing the plow to be pivotally attached to the front of the frame assembly at a higher location. The rear portion comprises a locking mechanism allowing the frame assembly to be easily mounted to the underside of the vehicle. A releasing mechanism, operatively connected to the locking mechanism, allows for the easy removal of the frame assembly from the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2014Date of Patent: September 29, 2015Assignee: Soucy International Inc.Inventors: Alexandre Coulombe, Normand Roy, Marc-Andre Patry, Vincent Morin, Jérémie Aubin-Marchand, Erick Bienvenue

Patent number: 8763281Abstract: A plow substantially made from polymeric material is generally configured to be used with all-terrain vehicles (“ATV”) or other similar vehicles. The design and shape of the plow generally cause the snow to move toward the middle of the plow instead of being pushed out of the snow removal path or toward the sides of the plow.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2011Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Assignee: Soucy International Inc.Inventors: Alexandre Coulombe, Normand Roy, Marc-Andre Patry, Vincent Morin, Jeremie Aubin-Marchand, Erick Bienvenue, Patrick Hamel, Jean-Philippe Drouin, Nicolas Demers

Patent number: 8678467Abstract: A system for mounting a windshield to a small vehicle such as an all-terrain vehicle (“ATV”), a utility-terrain vehicle (“UTV”), or a snowmobile is disclosed. The system typically comprises a pair of receiving elements, each of them configured to be secured to the vehicle, typically the handlebar(s) thereof, and a corresponding pair of mounting elements secured to a windshield panel or panel assembly and configured to be respectively releasably received in the receiving elements. Each receiving element comprises a rotatable cam and each mounting element comprises a groove on an outwardly extending protrusion such that the cams can selectively engage the grooves in a locking engagement when the mounting elements are received in the receiving elements.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2011Date of Patent: March 25, 2014Assignee: Soucy International Inc.Inventors: Alexandre Coulombe, Alexandre Cloutier, Marc-Andre Patry, Vincent Morin, Benoit Lauziere, Genevieve Therrien, Genevieve Demers

Publication number: 20120061150Abstract: The present invention provides a high-accuracy rotary carousel scale with a rotary platter. The rotary carousel scale utilizes a plurality of load cells of either planar-beam or single-point type, fitted with a stabilizing structure and wheels to support the rotary platter. The stabilizing structure prevents side forces and moment forces being applied to the load cells, allowing their full accuracy to be maintained, as well as protecting them from damage. The rotary platter provides support for, and weighs, bags of purchased products in the self-checkout and related industries and is rotated to access individual bags during filling. The rotary carousel scale can incorporate devices to prevent damage to the load cells during an overload. Alternatively, the rotary carousel scale can rely for this on overload prevention built-into the load cell mount.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2010Publication date: March 15, 2012Inventors: Alexandre Coulombe, Noramand Roy, Marc-André Patry, Vincent Morin, Jérémie Aubin-Marchand, Erick Bienvenue
