Abstract: Example embodiments include a mounting system and method for a sensor node or other electrical or electronic device. An apparatus according to some embodiments includes a housing having a perimeter and a rear surface, a set of power plug prongs extending from the rear surface of the housing, and a bracket releasably engageable with the rear surface of the housing, the bracket having at least one flange that extends beyond the perimeter of the housing when the bracket is engaged with the rear surface. In some embodiments, at least one of the flanges includes a frangible region allowing for removal of at least a portion of the respective flange.

Abstract: A system and a method to determine heart and/or breathing rates. The system comprises a shell configured to occlude an ear canal, an in-ear microphone located inside the shell to capture an audio signal inside the ear canal, and a processor operatively connected to the in-ear microphone, the processor being configured to analyse the audio signal in order to determine at least one of a heart beat and/or a respiration rate measurement or attribute, even when the wearer of the system is immersed in high level of environmental noise. The system and method also comprise the use of an adaptive digital filter to remove the residual environmental noise from the audio signal captured by the in-ear microphone. The system and method also comprise the use of a predetermined audio signal association to identify attributes of the captured audio signal inside the ear canal.

Abstract: Intuitive adjustment of framing on a terminal is achieved by a remote party using a mobile terminal during a videotelephone call. The terminal includes a camera, framing means, video encoding means and communication and multiplexing means. The terminal includes motion sensors, formatting means, and communication and multiplexing means. In response to its own movement, the terminal produces framing data from movement information coming from the movement sensors and sends said framing data to the terminal. The framing means extract image portions from images captured by the camera in response to framing information corresponding to the framing data.
