    Abstract: Certain aspects and embodiments are directed to a Doppler shift correction sub-system that can be disposed in a mobile repeater. The Doppler shift correction sub-system can include a processor and a frequency-shifting module. The processor can be configured to determine a corrective frequency shift based on a velocity of the repeater relative to a source and a representative transmission frequency. The processor can provide the corrective frequency shift to a frequency-shifting module. The frequency-shifting module can be configured to shift the signal using the corrective frequency shift prior to transmitting the signal to a destination, such as a mobile device.

    Abstract: A mobile testing system for optimizing wireless coverage in a distributed antenna system is disclosed. In some aspects, the mobile testing system includes a measurement receiver that can determine signal levels for a respective signals communicated via the distributed antenna system. A processing device of the mobile testing system can identify a subset of the signals by decoding a respective identifier encoded in each of the subset of signals. The identifiers specify that the subset of signals is targeted to at least one coverage zone in which the mobile testing system is located. A subset of signal levels is obtained by the measurement receiver that corresponds to each of the subset of signals. The processing device can generate coverage contour data based on the subset of signal levels that describes signal coverage for at least one coverage zone.

In another aspect of the invention, a frequency of a reference signal in the communication system is adjusted to compensate for frequency errors between the communication system and the source of the communication signal. The equalized and frequency adjusted communication signal is then retransmitted into an extended coverage area. Wireless coverage is thereby provided between a base transceiver station and a mobile device in the extended coverage area.

    Abstract: Telecommunication systems using multiple Nyquist zone operations are provided. In one aspect, a telecommunication system can include a first section and a second section. The first section can receive signals from at least one transmitting base station or transmitting terminal device. The received signals have frequencies in multiple frequency bands. The first section can also sample the received signals such that the received signals are aliased. The first section can also combine the aliased signals from the frequency bands into a combined frequency band in a common Nyquist zone. The second section can extract signals from the combined frequency band. The extracted signals are to be transmitted at frequencies in a frequency band from a Nyquist zone that is different than the common Nyquist zone. The second section can also transmit the extracted signals to at least one receiving base station or receiving terminal device.
