  • Patent number: 5609381
Abstract: A parallel gripper includes an electric motor; a threaded spindle connected to the motor to be driven thereby about a longitudinal spindle axis; a spindle nut threadedly mounted on the spindle for longitudinal travel therealong upon rotation of the spindle; a support block affixed to the nut; an arrangement for preventing a rotation of the spindle nut about the spindle axis; a mounting plate for accommodating a gripper jaw thereon; and a first, a second, a third and a fourth web coupling the mounting plate to the support block. The first and second webs are parallel to one another and are spaced in a direction parallel to the spindle axis; and also, the third and fourth webs are parallel to one another and are spaced in a direction parallel to the spindle axis. Further, strain gauges are mounted on the webs for emitting signals representing a bending deformation the webs undergo in response to a reaction force generated by a gripping force of the gripper.

  • Patent number: 4791227
Abstract: What is disclosed is the use of metallic vessels having particularly high corrosion resistance which are made of(a) aluminum or alloys containing more than 95% aluminum, or of(b) nickel-chromium-iron alloys containing from 30 to 50% of nickel, from 20 to 30% of chromium, and from 18 to 50% of iron, by weight, in reacting or working up mixtures containing substantial amounts of hydrogen fluoride in addition to organic carboxylic acids and/or carbon monoxide and/or water.

  • Patent number: 4299069
Abstract: A prefabricated wall facing panel for buildings is described. A method of making such panels is also disclosed. The panels comprise a rigid polyurethane backing sheet and a plurality of facing elements embedded in said sheet. Tongue and groove formations at the respective upper and lower edges of the panel are provided for interlocking with adjacent panels. The panels are secured to a support surface by channel-shaped attachment members which can be nailed to the support surface and which engage in the grooves in the panels.
