  • Patent number: 11283203
Abstract: Various embodiments include a lower jaw assembly and a grounding clamp. The grounding clamp includes a clamp body defining a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The grounding clamp also includes an upper jaw. The grounding clamp further includes a support arm slidably attached to the clamp body. The support arm includes a locking mechanism configured to removably engage the first side of the clamp body and a balance mechanism configured to removably engage the second side of the clamp body. The movement of the support arm is restricted upon the engagement of the locking mechanism and the balance mechanism. The grounding clamp also includes a moveable jaw slideably attached to clamp body and operably coupled to the support arm via a fastening mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20200313405
Abstract: A shotgun stick for use with grounding devices is provided. An example shotgun stick includes a housing and a drive shaft supported within the housing. The shotgun stick further includes a clamp stick head attached to the housing at a first end and operably connected to a first end of the drive shaft such that rotation of the drive shaft actuates the clamp stick head. The shotgun stick also includes a ratchet locking module that selectively limits rotation of the drive shaft via engagement between a side pin and a ratchet gear of the ratchet locking module. The clamp stick head includes an exterior housing, a head sleeve that defines an opening configured to receive a tool attachment secured thereto, and a slotted inner sleeve positioned between the exterior housing and the head sleeve that prevents rotation of a tool attachment received by the head sleeve.

  • Patent number: 8317536
Abstract: A grounding clamp carries a through-hole where one end of the hole or opening carries a multi-sided socket, such as a hex-shaped socket or depression. A pair of ball studs extend in part into the through-hole and threadably lock together trapping or sandwiching the clamp therebetween. One of the ball studs is blocked from rotating by the hex-shaped socket. As the other ball stud is rotated onto it, the three components, the clamp and the two ball studs form a composite grounding assembly which is locked together.

  • Patent number: 7202413
Abstract: A rubber insulating blanket of a type used by workers, such as electrical lineworkers and industrial electricians, to cover live electrical conductors, apparatus, or circuits, so as to protect themselves against electrical shock hazards, is generally square or otherwise generally rectangular, so as to have two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges. The blanket is provided with four handles, each of which is located at the middle of a separate edge of the blanket. If the blanket has eyelets located near the middles of the longitudinal edges, the eyelets so located are located between the handles located at those same portions. Being unitary with the remainder of the blanket and having outer portions projecting outwardly from the edges where the handles are located, the handles do not interfere with rolling of the blanket, as for storage of the blanket in a canister.

  • Patent number: 7111526
Abstract: A clamp pin has two clamping jaws, each having a clamping arm and an actuating arm. Being connected pivotably to each other between the clamping and actuating arms, the clamping jaws are pivotable between a condition in which the clamping arms are opened and a condition in which the clamping arms are closed and toward which the clamping jaws are biased. The clamp pin has two actuating links, each having a upper end, which is connected pivotably to the actuating arm of one of the clamping jaws, and each having a lower end. The actuating links are connected pivotably to each other at the lower ends, via a grommet. The clamp pin is useful and may be advantageously combined with a clamp stick having a socket and having a hook movable into and out from the socket, wherein the grommet is adapted to receive the hook and wherein the actuating links are adapted to be drawn into the socket, along with the hook, when the hook is received by the grommet.
