Abstract: The present invention proposes a post (11) having a tubular central portion (29) comprising a base (22), at least one lighting means and a carrier framework (13) with holder slots (32) for receiving said at least one lighting means or at least one solar unit (12). Said at least one solar unit (12) has a solar panel in electrical communication with a rechargeable battery. Said solar panel is maintained within a housing and said housing is seated in said holder slot (32). Said at least one lighting means is powered by said re-chargeable battery. Said lighting means are LEDs embedded within a central housing (21) and said tubular central portion (29) has cavities (34) on its lateral surfaces encorporating LED elements.

Abstract: A cylindrical hollow body fence post disposed according to the present invention features a first closed-geometry longitudinally hollow inner profile interconnected by at least two longitudinally extending bridging elements to a second closed-geometry longitudinally extending outer profile. The tubular post comprises one or more longitudinal housing for receiving illuminating elements. The illuminating elements are powered by a solar panel. The longitudinal housings receiving the illuminating elements are closed by longitudinal coverings providing a dovetail connection with the open end of the housings.
