At least one compartment for holding a makeup substance that may be applied to the surface is provided on a bound page of the book. Each page of one or more bound pages adjacent to the page on which the model is mounted includes a cutout section that is aligned to the model, such that the surface is accessible via the cutout section when the book is open to a page of the adjacent bound pages.
