  • Patent number: 4974747
Abstract: A vending machine which, after payment of a fee, delivers a complete meal from a number of meals which are available through the manipulation of a selector member. Each of the meals comprises two or more articles of food packaged in separate units. The units are stored in different compartments in the machine. The compartments are placed on different levels within the machine. The selector member comprises a traveller which can be displaced along a U-shaped arm which is journalled on a horizontal axis so it can be pivoted by drive motor, until the traveller is in a position to cooperate with one of several elevator frames. These frames are coaxially journalled, and has linkage arms for mechanical connection to different feeding out devices which are arranged at each respective compartment level.

  • Patent number: 4394932
Abstract: A vending machine, preferably for cooled articles, comprises a number of drums subdivided into compartments and arranged as a stack within a cabinet to be individually rotatable about a horizontal shaft. A front and a rear shield covers the lower half of the stack and leave between themselves a passage. A flap, which is swingable about a horizontal shaft, reaches, in one of its positions, to the lower edge of the front shield and partly closes the passage. The machine comprises a selector mechanism, by which the position of an actuator can be adjusted to a desired drum and, when released, rotates the latter one step, and also tilts the flap, so an adjacent article can slide down a chute. The machine is provided with suitable release structure, for instance a coin-freed device, which by way of impulses to an electric motor causes a swinging movement of an arm in the actuator.

  • Patent number: 4278182
Abstract: In a vending machine, where the items are stored in separate, vertical compartments from the lower ends of which items are removable, one by one, by a selector mechanism comprising a displaceable frame, which embraces three sides of the battery. A front member of the frame carries a sensor, which reacts if a selected compartment should be emptied down to a predetermined level, and a rear member includes a feeding-out finger connected to an actuating mechanism. This is operated by an electric motor, and a governing circuit comprising two switches, which are operated by the position of the frame in relation to the battery, and by the reaction of the sensor at the selected compartment, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4194612
Abstract: A vending machine having a number of separate compartments, each blocked by a rotatable member has a control mechanism, which includes a member insertable in an opening. The proper member will release the blocking members and further includes a portion, where pin stamps operable by the rotation of the blocking members will put a mark. The control portion is formed like a body having transverse bores, each housing an axially displaceable stud, which is operable by a specific pin stamp, and is retainable in either of two axial positions.

  • Patent number: 4046242
Abstract: A vending machine having a number of compartments is operable by a check ticket, which is inserted in a slot in the machine. Each compartment is blocked by a gate plate, which is swingable outwards/upwards to permit the removal of the goods. This movement is, by way of a linkage, transferred to an embossing mechanism, which makes a mark upon the ticket at a particular spot for each compartment being opened. The linkage includes a catching device which prevents operation unitl a detent therein is magnetically operated by the check ticket.
