    Abstract: A back pressure valve comprises a pressure regulator housing affixed to a pressure controller housing and a diaphragm disposed between the pressure regulator housing and the pressure controller housing. In one aspect, the back pressure valve includes a valve member moveable between a fully open position and a fully closed position. The pressure regulator housing includes an inlet chamber communicating with an outlet chamber through at least one fluid passage in a sleeve. The valve member includes a stem connected to a valve head. The valve head includes an outer surface that is received and guided during movement by an inner surface of the sleeve. The outer surface of the valve head includes an upper outer surface and a lower outer surface separated by a cavity adapted to receive a sealing element. Upper and lower outer surface of the valve head provide stability to the valve member during opening and closing of the back pressure valve.

    Abstract: A check valve is provided capable of reducing the effects of fluid hammer and is easily replaceable and repairable. In one aspect of the invention, a check valve includes a housing with a passage having a check valve positioned therein to permit fluid flow in one direction while preventing fluid flow in the reverse direction. The housing includes an inlet port and a valve seat. The check valve includes a valve disc connected to a stem. The valve disc moves from a closed position engaged with the valve seat to an open position disengaged from the valve seat. The distance traveled by the valve disc away from the valve in a full open position is less than twenty five percent of the diameter of the inlet port.

    Abstract: A check valve is provided which may be installed horizontally or in other non-vertical orientations, and used with variable frequency drives and other applications without the valve disk becoming misaligned. In one aspect, the valve provides a housing with an inner surface and a passage, a flange within the housing which divides the housing into upstream and downstream portions, and extending around the inner surface, defining a valve seat and a valve aperture, a poppet positioned in the downstream portion, including a valve disk and a valve stem extending from the valve disk, the valve disk engaging the valve seat, being moveable, and being resiliently biased in the closed position against the valve seat to inhibit fluid flow in a first direction, and a guide removably mounted on the inner surface of the housing, the guide receiving the valve stem of the poppet valve as the poppet valve moves.

    Abstract: A speed controller valve system for regulating an opening speed and a closing speed of a pressure reducing valve includes a first inlet couplable to a main valve inlet of a pressure reducing valve. An outlet is couplable to a power chamber of the pressure reducing valve to control a flow of fluid between the outlet and the power chamber to control an opening and/or a closing of the pressure reducing valve. An interior chamber connects the first inlet and the outlet. The chamber receives a resilient member connected to a tapered valve poppet received in the first inlet and moveable in response to a flow of fluid at a pre-set pressure from the main valve inlet to the first inlet. The poppet is located in the chamber and the resilient member includes a resiliency to regulate an amount of movement of the poppet at the pre-set pressure to regulate a flow between the first inlet and the power chamber of the pressure reducing valve.
