  • Patent number: 7888126
Abstract: An apparatus, process, coating, and filter for the accurate measurement of total mercury concentration in flue gas. In one aspect, the concentrations of both elemental and oxidized mercury are preserved by the apparatus for analysis. Accordingly, embodiments of the present apparatus and process can be used to determine regulatory compliance or for process control measurement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 29, 2008
Date of Patent: February 15, 2011
    Assignee: Perma Pure LLC
Inventors: Tom A. Baldwin, John Ward, III, Allan Budd

  • Patent number: 7368289
Abstract: An apparatus, process, coating, and filter for the accurate measurement of total mercury concentration in flue gas. In a preferred aspect, the concentrations of both elemental and oxidized mercury are preserved by the apparatus for analysis. Accordingly, embodiments of the present apparatus and process can be used to determine regulatory compliance or for process control measurement.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20070092976
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods, systems, and apparatus for continuously monitoring particulates emitted from an emissions source. In a particular embodiment of a disclosed system, the system includes a sample inlet and diluent inlet. The system further includes a mixing chamber in communication with the sample inlet and the diluent inlet. An aerosol sample from the emissions source and diluent from the diluent inlet, received through the respective sample and diluent inlets, are mixed in the mixing chamber. The system includes an ambient dispersion simulator in communication with the mixing chamber. A diluted aerosol sample passes from the mixing chamber to the ambient dispersion simulator, where it is conditioned to produce a conditioned aerosol sample. The conditioned aerosol sample enters a continuous particle detector. The continuous particle detector is configured to make multiple distinct measurements without intervention by a user.
