  • Patent number: 5980352
Abstract: A package adapted to stage a performance by a toy figure resembling a known character. The package includes a carton whose a flat rear wall is joined to a semi-cylindrical front wall to define a cavity, the front wall having a bay window therein. Behind the rear wall and hinged thereto a flap that is normally folded over the rear wall and fastened thereto. When the flap is unfolded, it creates in combination with the rear wall a stage backdrop having printed thereon material relating to the character, such as dialog taken from movies involving the character. Received within the cavity is an insert on which is mounted the figure, as well as a miniature stage and stage props, all of which can be seen through the window. In play, the flap is unfolded to erect the stage backdrop, the stage is placed in front of the backdrop with the figure standing thereon and with the props adjacent thereto. By manipulating the figure relative to the props against the backdrop, a player can enact a scene involving the character.

  • Patent number: 4897826
Abstract: A novelty wrist watch which when worn displays both a timepiece and an elongated figure or character in an arrangement in which the timepiece and one section of the character overlie the top surface of the wrist, and the remaining sections of the character lie against at least one edge of the wrist and over the bottom surface thereof, whereby the character appears to embrace the wrist. The wrist watch is formed from a single piece of flexible plastic material having a flat underface to engage the wrist, the piece being molded so as to form a main body constituted by the elongated character and a case integral therewith to accommodate the timepiece movement and its dial, and two auxiliary members, one integral with and extending from one end of the body to define a first strap, and the other integral with and extending from the opposite end of the body to define a second strap terminating in a buckle to receive and catch the first strap to form a band encircling the wrist.

  • Patent number: 4589575
Abstract: A hygienic dispenser for hard candies and medicaments in wafer form, each package of which is constituted by a stack of such wafers protectively sealed in an inner foil wrapper to create a roll that is surrounded by a removable outer sleeve. The dispenser includes a tubular container for receiving the roll through its open end and to seat it on an axially-advanceable platform which urges the roll upwardly. Covering the open end of the container and pivoted thereto is a cap whose thickness corresponds to that of a wafer. The cap is laterally swingable to a cocked position in which the open end is uncovered to release the roll which is then advanced by the platform to engage a visor projecting from the top of the cap, thereby exposing the uppermost wrapped wafer. When the cap is swung back to again cover the open end, it acts to sever the wrapper and discharge the uppermost wafer, the next wafer in the roll then engaging the cap in readiness for the next operation.
