  • Patent number: 9996679
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes sending an authentication request to a client device to obtain a utilization code in response to a request from the client device to access data. The utilization code is uniquely associated with the client device. The method includes obtaining an authentication response including the utilization code from the client device and authenticating the client device if the utilization code matches a utilization identifier stored in a database. The method includes generating an encryption key using a seed based at least in part on the utilization code and encrypting the data with the encryption key to generate encrypted data and sending, when the utilization code matches the utilization identifier stored in the database, the encrypted data to the client device without requiring a user of the client device to login.

  • Patent number: 9992444
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes receiving, at a device, digital audio content to be converted by a digital-to-analog converter to produce analog audio content. The digital audio content has at least one audible frequency. The method also includes selecting, at the device, a first signal and a second signal to output with the analog audio content. The first signal has an inaudible carrier frequency and a bandwidth, and the second signal also has an inaudible carrier frequency and a bandwidth. A difference between the first signal and the second signal is an undesired audible signal. The method further includes outputting, from the device, the analog audio content, the first signal and the second signal, such that when the analog audio content is detected by a recording device the undesired audible signal is detected with the analog audio content.

  • Patent number: 6595990
Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods are provided for canalizing or boring channels, divots, trenches or holes through tissue to revascularize the region around this tissue. In one method, an electrode terminal is positioned in close proximity to a target site and a high frequency voltage difference is applied between the electrode terminal and a return electrode to volumetrically remove or ablate tissue at the target site. The electrode terminal(s) may be translated relative to the body structure during or after the application of electrical energy to sculpt a void within the body structure, such as a hole, channel, stripe, crater, divot or the like. The present invention may be useful for revascularization of a healthy meniscus, or a torn or damaged meniscus during a repair procedure.

  • Patent number: 6391025
Abstract: The present invention provides systems, apparatus and methods for selectively applying electrical energy to cut or incise structures in a patient's body. The electrosurgical systems and methods are particularly useful for removing tissue or ligaments from a patient's joint, such as the patellar ligament in the knee, in dermatological procedures, i.e., surface treatment of the patient's outer skin, such as the removal of pigmentations, vascular lesions (e.g., leg veins), scars, tattoos, etc., and in procedures for removing tissue in regions of the head and neck. The method of the present invention comprises positioning an electrosurgical probe adjacent the target tissue so that one or more electrode terminal(s) are brought into at least partial contact or close proximity with the target site in the presence of electrically conductive fluid.

  • Patent number: 6258379
Abstract: A pharmaceutical dispensing kit that includes at least two different analgesic dosage units that have been formulated for use with each other, each of the analgesics being formulated for administration during a particular time of day and/or with relation to a particular event, the kit including a housing which contains said dosage units and which contains indicia identifying said dosage units and instructions coordinating use of the different dosage units together as a treatment regimen for pain. The dosage units may be packaged in bulk and distinguished by differences in geometry, size, markings, type of formulation (e.g., tablet versus soft gel capsule), and/or color, all types of indicia useful with this invention. A method for treating pain that uses the novel kit is also provided.
