  • Patent number: 11306930
Abstract: A vent having a continuous, elongate mat having an upper face and a lower face, and having a first portion and a second portion. The mat includes a plurality of columns of patterned three-dimensional structures of a network of randomly convoluted polymeric filaments having a first density, at least one of the plurality of columns of patterned three-dimensional structures being provided in the first portion, and at least one other of the plurality of columns of patterned three-dimensional structures being provided in the second portion. The mat includes a throat portion between the first portion and the second portion, the throat portion having a network of randomly convoluted polymeric filaments of a second density different than the first density, a first cover layer covering an outer edge of the first portion, and a second cover layer covering an outer edge of the second portion.

  • Patent number: 9624663
Abstract: A building structure includes a base structure (10), a thermal barrier layer (20) and an external layer (30). The thermal barrier layer may be a three-dimensional matrix of filaments. The filaments may be irregularly looped and intermingled in a highly porous, three-dimensional structure with a large open space. The filaments form a thermal barrier by reducing the physical contact between the external layer and the base structure. The filament material is low in conductivity, so little heat transfer occurs between the external layer and the filaments.

  • Publication number: 20160348354
Abstract: A ventilation system and a method for producing the ventilation system are provided. The ventilation system includes an air vent including an entangled core and a separation layer formed on a side of the entangled core. The entangled core includes air space. A method for producing the ventilation system includes bonding the entangled core to a surface of the separation layer to form an air vent.
