The substrate exhibits a sparkle of <4%, and a transmittance haze of <20%, each from an incident angle of 0°. The antireflection coating comprises a plurality of alternating high refractive index and low refractive index layers.     Abstract: An embodiment includes a method to increase the efficiency of security checkpoint operations. A security checkpoint kiosk serves as a Relying Party System (RPS). The RPS establishes a secure local connection between the RPS and a User Mobile-Identification-Credential Device (UMD). The RPS sends a user information request to the UMD, via the secure local connection, seeking release of user information associated with a Mobile Identification Credential (MIC). The RPS obtains authentication of the user information received in response to the user information request. The RPS retrieves user travel information based on the user information. The RPS determines that the user travel information matches the user information. When the user travel information matches the user information, the RPS approves the user to proceed past the security checkpoint kiosk.

    Abstract: A sprinkler system for a temporary chute used for disposal of construction materials during a construction or renovation project. The sprinkler system is releasably engaged with the temporary chute and is used to control dust within the chute, wash down the chute, and extinguish fires. A housing of the sprinkler system is releasably engaged with an intake hopper of the chute, placing an interior chamber of the housing in fluid communication with the chutes' tunnel. First and second sprinkler heads are located within the interior chamber. The first sprinkler head is temperature sensitive and automatically actuated when a threshold temperature is crossed. The second sprinkler head is manually activated by an operator to spray liquid into the tunnel to control dust or wash the interior surfaces of the chute. The sprinkler system and temporary chute are disengaged from the building once the construction or renovation project is completed.

    Abstract: Non-contact methods of predicting an insertion loss of a test optical fiber connector are disclosed. Light is sent down the at least one optical fiber of the connector in the fundamental mode to emit an output light beam. The output-beam image is captured at different distances from the fiber end faces to define multiple output-beam images each associated with one of the multiple measurement positions. A Gaussian curve is then fitted to the multiple output-beam images to determine a mode field diameter, an offset, and a tilt of the output light beam. A Gaussian field model that incorporates the offset, the tilt, and the mode-field diameter is then used to predict the insertion loss when connecting to a reference optical fiber of a reference optical fiber connector.
