    Abstract: Resident activities and/or activity schedules are used to control a home management system. Resident activities and/or activity schedules may be monitored using a calendar application. A common repository may be provided for storing residential information used by multiple applications. Control of the home management system may include the selection of advertising video clips that may replace commercial advertisements in a vide stream. Advertising portions of a video stream may also be replaced with a locally generated video insertion. An architecture and/or system for home management is also provided.
