    Abstract: The apparatus for melting off a glass top part from a hollow glass blank has individual burner sections (3) each containing at least one burner nozzle. The individual burner sections (3) are held in a cutting plane and movably connected with each other. A control device (4a, 4b, 5) controls the respective positions of the burner sections (3) so that they fit any arbitrary outer contour of the hollow glass blank (1). The control device (4a, 4b, 5) holds and maintains the burner sections (3) at a constant distance from the exterior surface of the hollow glass blank (1). The burner device with the burner sections (3) is mounted on two half frames pivotally connected with each other for better access to the glass object (1). This apparatus separates the glass top part from oval or triangular glass objects, which should be cut at an inclined orientation, in a single step.

    Abstract: A machine for processing hollow glass objects (8) is described. The machine includes a sequence of like processing units (1) to (15) and (A, B) on which a small number of processing steps can be carried out on the workpiece (8). The workpieces (8) are brought to the processing unit on a clock-driven loading belt (4) and taken therefrom. A workpiece, which is being processed in a unit, is held during the entire sequence by one and the same workpiece holder. Each processing unit includes two separate handling units with which two workpieces run through the workstations time displaced. The machine arrangement permits processing units to be taken out or switched into the line without a production standstill.

    Abstract: In a screen printing apparatus for printing a conical object rotatable about a rotation axis (4) by means of a screen member (2) which must perform a circular motion about the cone intersection point (6) of the conical object, this circular motion is reproduced by means of three linear drive devices (14,22) and 24). A first linear drive device (14) produces a translational motion of a U-shaped frame (10), in which the screen member holder (8) is held, in a direction transverse to the rotation axis (4) of the object to be printed. The additional drive devices (22,24) act to superimpose both a translational motion transverse to that of the first linear drive device (14) and a rotary motion of the screen member (2) about its center point (38). The first linear drive (14) and the additional linear drive devices (22,24) are numerically controllable by a computer, in which a predetermined motion course for the screen member is stored.
