  • Patent number: 9063884
Abstract: A signal from a system, such as a reactive system, that reflects health indicators of the system may be selected. A signal analyzer may extract the health indicators from the signal and conduct a diagnostics of the health of the system based on the health indicators.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 23, 2012
Date of Patent: June 23, 2015
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
Inventors: Ayelet Pnueli, Ami Shiff, Avner Arnstein, Ron Maurer, Tsafrir Yedid Am, Lior Katz
  • Patent number: 9014598
Abstract: Apparatus for draining liquid droplets from a surface is described. The apparatus comprises an array of oleophilic channels substantially interspersed with oleophobic material, wherein a width of an oleophilic channel is arranged to move liquid associated with said droplets along the oleophilic channel by capillary action and wherein a distance between two successive oleophilic channels is less than a critical droplet diameter, the critical droplet diameter corresponding to a droplet that will separate from the surface. The oleophilic channels act to preferentially attract condensed oil and the oleophobic material acts to repel condensed oil such that formation of droplets is restricted by the oleophilic channel. By selecting an appropriate channel width, the size of droplets is prevented from exceeding a critical size, at which the droplets can no longer be held by surface tension to the condensing surface and drip away from the condensing surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 26, 2012
Date of Patent: April 21, 2015
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Indigo B.V.
    Inventors: Doron Schlumm, Ami Shiff
  • Patent number: 8870329
Abstract: Detecting an issue in a digital printer that has an optical element positioned to direct a laser beam towards a photoconductor surface may include sending optical element position commands to move the optical element to compensate for inconsistent movements of a photoconductor drum and creating a record of the optical element position commands.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 31, 2012
Date of Patent: October 28, 2014
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Indigo B.V.
Inventors: Haggai Abbo, Martin Chauvin, Omry Flum, Yuri Baril, Sharon Nagler, Craig Breen, Shai Druckman, Ami Shiff, Avner Arnstein

  • Patent number: 5508790
Abstract: An imaging apparatus incorporating a substantially rectangular organic photoreceptor sheet having a base layer, a conductive layer and a photoconductive layer, wherein along one edge of the photoreceptor sheet there is an exposed conductive area, a drum having a longitudinal cavity formed therein and including a slot formed between the cavity and the cylindrical surface of the drum into which the one edge of the photoreceptor sheet is inserted and a rotatable element within the cavity which, in a locking position, presses the photoreceptor sheet against a wall of the cavity, fixedly and removably holding the photoreceptor sheet in place.
