  • Publication number: 20020194670
Abstract: An odor evacuation and mitigation system for a bathroom space including a central evacuation fan system, an odor evacuation system for a toilet having a toilet bowl, an automatic flushing system, and a steam and moisture ventilation system. The fan system includes an enclosure having a motor and fan therein and connected to an exhaust hose for expelling odors. The odor evacuation system for a toilet includes a flush valve in communication with a pipe, connected to an external suction device for removal of odors, through an overflow pipe and an evacuation pipe. The automatic flushing system includes a sensor connected to a servomotor for rotation of an actuation lever connected to a flush valve. The steam ventilation system includes a manifold body disposed over a shower enclosure and having a grille through which air flows into the manifold body and outward through an externally extending hose.

  • Publication number: 20020073482
Abstract: A toilet system comprises a ventilation apparatus for eliminating the odor from a toilet bowl. The ventilation apparatus includes a ventilation pipe directly or indirectly connected to a hose, which is attached to a suction device. The ventilation apparatus may include a draining device for draining overflow water into the toilet bowl. The toilet system may further comprises an automatic flushing mechanism, which includes a sensing device capable of detecting the presence of a user, a motion device being activatable by the sensing device, and a lever connected to a flapper for opening and closing a flush valve.

  • Patent number: 5545277
Abstract: This invention relates to first and second plate glass templates each having an outer smooth major surface and an inner rough major surface, only each of the major outer smooth surfaces being peripherally bounded by a chamfer formed at the cut edge. In this invention, the first and second templates are joined together with the rough surfaces in facing retention. The first and second plate glass templates may be used in forming a window.

  • Patent number: 5525138
Abstract: A determination of the temper quality of a tempered glass sheet is made which includes determining the percentages of the thickness of a tempered glass sheet which are in compression as well as the sheet's tensile membrane stress. The process uses a CO.sub.2 laser beam, either on a painted or unpainted glass sheet, to shatter the glass sheet and then comparing the number of pulses required for the glass sheet to shatter to a correspondence, e.g., a graph, of tensile membrane stress v. compression layer thickness as a % of the total thickness of the glass sheet.

  • Patent number: 5383950
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a glass sheet during a tempering process is provided in which a truss ring structure having a hot/cold ring and a plurality of shaped fingers having converging diagonal sides extending from the hot/cold ring supports the glass sheet. The apparatus further includes cushioning means which may include at least one layer of a composite mesh cloth, a fiberglass tube, or both. In a preferred arrangement, the composite mesh cloth is folded around the fiberglass tube and the shaped fingers to provide optimum cushion and quench air flow to the glass.

  • Patent number: 5254149
Abstract: The quality of temper in a glass sheet is determined by repeatedly scoring the glass sheet with a laser beam, to incrementally penetrate the compression zone, until the glass sheet shatters.
