  • Patent number: 11896193
Abstract: A method for influencing the device-typical sound emission of a cleaning device, wherein the cleaning device has a device housing and a cleaning mechanism for carrying out a cleaning activity on a surface to be cleaned, wherein the cleaning device emits device-typical sound while carrying out the cleaning activity, and wherein the device-typical sound is detected and analyzed with respect to at least one sound frequency contained therein. In order to adapt the soundscape of the cleaning device in such a way that a user can ascertain a proper functionality of the cleaning device, a displaceable section assigned to a flow channel of the cleaning device is displaced relative to the flow channel and/or the device housing in dependence on the analysis result until a characteristic sound frequency for the cleaning activity emitted by the cleaning mechanism has a defined amplitude.

  • Patent number: 11890269
Abstract: A method for treating cancer is described using combination therapies comprising the use of hyperbaric oxygen with histone deacetylase inhibitors, with and without glycolytic therapies. The patient is subjected to a hyperbaric environment of substantially pure oxygen. A predetermined dose of one or more HDACI substances is administered to the patient. In addition, glycolitic inhibitors may also be administered. Dosages, pressures, and durations are selected as described herein to have a therapeutic effect on the patient.

  • Patent number: 11826008
Abstract: A household appliance has a device housing, a blower arranged in the device housing, an outlet opening formed in the flow direction behind the blower in the device housing, and a flow channel. Soundwaves are generated by the blower, and produce resonances characterized by standing waves, which form between opposing inner walls of the flow channel. A sound reducing wall is positioned in the flow channel, the wall plane of which is oriented parallel to a primary flow direction of the air flow guided in the flow channel. The sound reducing wall is positioned in the flow channel so that a maximum for a fast amplitude of a sound particle velocity of the air flow guided in the flow channel lies in the wall plane of the sound reducing wall. The soundwaves form while interspersing the sound reducing wall between the opposing inner walls of the flow channel.

  • Publication number: 20230045149
Abstract: A household appliance has a device housing, a blower arranged in the device housing, an outlet opening formed in a direction of flow behind the blower in the device housing, a flow channel that connects the outlet opening with the blower in terms of flow, and a sound attenuator allocated to the flow channel for attenuating sound arising from the operation of the household appliance. The sound attenuator has sound-absorbing wall elements that have a wall surface that is curved in relation to a direction of a longitudinal extension of the flow channel, a support body for receiving the sound-absorbing wall elements, and a sound-reducing wall with a wall plane oriented parallel to the flow path. The sound attenuator is modular in design, formed of the support body, wall elements and sound-reducing wall, and is installed as a whole into the device housing between the blower and outlet opening.

  • Publication number: 20230038485
Abstract: A household appliance, particularly a floor treatment appliance, has an appliance housing, a fan arranged in the appliance housing, an outlet opening formed in the appliance housing downstream of the fan, a flow channel connecting the outlet opening to the fan in a flow-conducting manner, and a sound absorption device assigned to the flow channel in order to absorb sound generated by the operation of the household appliance. In order to create a sound absorption device that can be installed into the household appliance in a particularly simple manner, the sound absorption device comprises a plurality of sound-absorbing wall elements and a carrier body that accommodates the wall elements in a reversible manner, wherein a flow path is formed within the carrier body between opposing wall elements.
