Publication number: 20240112085Abstract: Performance of a machine learning (ML) model in production, is heavily dependent on underlying distribution of data or underlying process generating labels from attributes. Any change in either one or both impacts the ML model performance heavily and inhibits knowledge of true labels. This in turn affects ML model uncertainty. Thus, performance monitoring of ML models in production becomes necessary. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide estimates operating model accuracy at production stage by constructing the correlations between the model accuracy, model uncertainty and deviation of the distributions in absence of ground truth. In the method of present disclosure, the model performance of the machine learning (ML) model deployed in production is estimated in absence of ground truths. Moreover, this can be done without retraining the model, thus saving computational costs and resources. The method of the present disclosure can be used and performed in real time.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 21, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: NIRBAN BOSE, AMIT KALELE, JAYASHREE ARUNKUMAR

Patent number: 10430217Abstract: Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems include a first virtual infrastructure manager (VIM) determining that the first VIM is to be an active manager of a plurality of virtual machines running on a plurality of host devices and that a second VIM is to be a standby manager of the plurality of virtual machines. The first VIM selects a first host device from the plurality of host devices to serve as a passive witness node in arbitrating active and standby roles between the first VIM and second VIM. The first host device runs one or more virtual machines and is managed by the active manager. The first VIM selects a first host device by confirming that the first host device is available to each of the first VIM and the second VIM. The first VIM writes a file on the first host device indicating that the first VIM is the active manager.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2013Date of Patent: October 1, 2019Assignee: VMware, Inc.Inventors: Cheng Cheng, Amit Bose, Ashish K.
