  • Publication number: 20180221823
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to an automated CFF/TFF system that provides the operations of system treatment with a system treatment solution(such as buffer) and filtration of a solution (e.g., a biofluid) can be accomplished in succession without having to re-configure the system (such as re-routing the fluid conduits) that could compromise the integrity of the system. As a result, there will be reduced contamination risk, reduced volume of buffer required and will save time for the filtration process.

  • Publication number: 20180213062
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of improving a speed and an accuracy of a server computer executing a chat bot using a processor. An input is received at the chat bot at the server computer from a client computer over a network. The input is parsed using a natural language engine into one or more keywords. The one or more keywords are assigned to one or more part of speech tags. All of the input is stored as a profile into a non-transitory computer recordable storage medium. The graph database model is traversed, with traversing including comparing the profile to nodes in the graph database model and using relationships among the nodes as part of the comparing, and wherein traversing ends at a root node in the graph database model. A solution stored in the root node is returned to the client computer, by the processor and over the network.

  • Publication number: 20180150912
Abstract: A method and apparatus visualizing compensation adjustments for employees of organization. A computer system identifies a number of merit groups for a group of employees based on employee evaluation for employees in the group of employees. The computer system identifies a number of compensation adjustment parameters. The computer system applies the number of compensation adjustment parameters to a compensation distribution of the group of employees to determine a compensation adjustment for each merit group. The computer system determines impact of the compensation adjustment on the compensation distribution of the group of employees. The computer system displays the impact of the compensation adjustment in a compensation adjustment scenario.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for automatically enforcing a schematic layout strategy applied to a group of schematically represented circuit objects of an electronic circuit design. A circuit editing tool electronically renders schematic representations of circuit objects responsive to user input. A layout object acquisition unit coupled to the circuit editing tool actuates responsive to user input to selectively apply a predetermined layout strategy to at least one group of circuit objects for generating a corresponding layout object. The predetermined layout strategy includes a defining set of placement and interconnection routing schemes for the grouped circuit objects, one relative to the other. A layout object management unit coupled to the layout object acquisition unit and circuit editing tool adaptively reconfigures the layout object in accordance with the layout strategy thereof responsive to an editing operation being imposed on at least one circuit object within the layout object.

  • Patent number: 9384135
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a system and method of cache management for a data storage system. According to various embodiments, the cache management system includes a hinting driver and a priority controller. The hinting driver generates pointers based upon data packets intercepted from data transfer requests being processed by a host controller of the data storage system. The priority controller determines whether the data packets are associated with at least a first (high) priority level or a second (normal or low) priority level based upon the pointers generated by the hinting driver. High priority data packets are stored in cache memory regardless of whether they satisfy a threshold heat quotient (i.e. a selected level of data transfer activity).

  • Patent number: 9373097
Abstract: A system and method for tracking passengers during travel events and generating alerts if rules for those travel events are violated includes readers, which are installed in vehicles and obtain location data from one or more positioning systems. As passengers enter or exit the vehicles, the passengers swipe access cards in the readers. The readers then tag passenger identity information with the obtained location data. This information is then transmitted to a monitoring system, which generates rules for each of the travel event of the passengers. During the travel events, the received location data and time information is analyzed and to determine if any of the vehicles are violating the generated rules. The monitoring system generates alerts if any of the generated rules are violated.

  • Publication number: 20150348220
Abstract: In a system and method for managing evacuations of buildings, in response to detection of a fire, a control panel initiates an alarm condition and activates annunciation devices to signal that an evacuation of the building is required. A positioning and evacuation system tracks locations of occupants in the building and the progression of the fire. The positioning and evacuation system generates individualized evacuation paths for the occupants, which are transmitted to and displayed on mobile computing devices of the occupants. Additionally, the positioning and evacuation system generates turn by turn directions of the individualized evacuation paths, which are displayed on three dimensional maps or with augmented reality on the mobile computing devices of the occupants.

  • Patent number: 9122384
Abstract: A method and system are provided for maintaining dynamic visual cues/graphic indicia for associated circuitry of a schematic object. The dynamic visual cues or graphic indicia indicate a number of states of the parent circuit object and its associated circuitry. The visibility, placement status, and other attributes of the parent or associated circuitry may be quickly discerned by inspection of the visual indicia. Navigation, including manipulations of one or both of the parent and associated circuitry are available through actuation of the visual cue or a selectable button proximately disposed thereto.
