  • Publication number: 20220383470
Abstract: A system includes a processing unit communicatively coupled to a detector array of an optical wafer characterization system. The processing unit is configured to perform one or more steps of a method or process including the steps of acquiring one or more target images of a target location on a wafer from the detector array, applying a de-noising filter to at least the one or more target images, determining one or more difference images from one or more reference images and the one or more target images, and up-sampling the one or more difference images to generate one or more up-sampled images. One or more wafer defects are detectable in the one or more difference images or the up-sampled images.

  • Patent number: 10509889
Abstract: A system and method utilizing deep clinical knowledge represented as a knowledge-graph to complement and enhance Natural Language Processing (NLP) for efficient and high-quality computer assisted coding of medical text. One embodiment utilizes the International Classification of Diseases version-10 Procedural Coding System (ICD-10-PCS). The system uses multiple knowledge bases combined with direct mapping provided by the ICD-10-PCS standard to enhance the coverage of assigned code. The system identifies ICD-10-PCS code considering hierarchical mapping and identifies the code by individual ICD-10-PCS character.

  • Publication number: 20170119290
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods using optical or electrical spectroscopy for accurate detection and monitoring of biological tissue properties in a noninvasive manner. To perform in vivo diagnose with more accurate and repeatable measurements, an air-tight micro suction cup is placed against biological tissue under test (such as skin of a patient), around which an electrical or optical sensing system comprising excitation and detection sensors is integrated. Applying a high power suction pump over the micro cup, a negative pressure is generated to reshape the skin covered by the cup to a contour suitable for better measurement results. Most important, as the suction power increases, certain amount of blood flow or body fluid is brought to skin layer, providing great potential of improving those diagnoses that require direct analysis over these biological components.

  • Publication number: 20160225016
Abstract: An advertising-based gamification system delivering advertisements and measuring delivery and attention to the advertisements, including an allocation server, a database including stored data objects including media advertisements and questions in a plurality of languages, each of the questions associated with a particular media advertisement, a translation module monitoring translation statuses of each of the stored data objects in the plurality of languages, a location module receiving location data indicative of a location of at least one of the plurality of devices, software selectively presenting one of the media advertisements and a plurality of associated questions from the stored data objects to a device based on at least one of the location data and a language preference, software to receive and store data indicative of answers to the questions from the device, and software executing on the allocation server to quantify views and attention of the media advertisements.

  • Patent number: 7989985
Abstract: A battery return disconnect (“BRD”) circuit for use with a battery supply having a plurality of electrically parallel inter-connecting batteries. The BRD circuit includes a plurality of DC input ports, a set of OR-ing diodes, a plurality of polarity detectors and a plurality of switches. Each input port includes a DC input terminal and a DC return terminal. Each OR-ing diode is connected to a DC input terminal or a DC return terminal and is forward-biased to when the BRD circuit is connected to a plurality of batteries having substantially the same voltage level. Each polarity detector monitors the bias of an OR-ing diode electrically connected to a corresponding DC input terminal. Each switch is connected to a DC return terminal and a polarity detector. Each switch is closed as long as the monitored OR-ing diode is forward-biased and open when the monitored OR-ing diode is reverse-biased.

  • Patent number: 7331532
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for acoustic noise reduction using fan speed control. The acoustic noise reduction using fan speed control includes a plurality of temperature detectors disposed at a plurality of locations within an electronics equipment enclosure, each detector having an associated setpoint temperature. An error value is determined for each temperature detector, the error consisting of the difference between the detected temperature and the associated setpoint temperature. The maximum error among all error values is then identified and the operating speed of a cooling fan in is set in response to this maximum error. Advantages include providing a fan speed directly related to electronics temperature which inherently accounts for higher ambient temperatures, enclosure altitude, electronics power consumption, and air filter clogging.
