  • Publication number: 20220202845
Abstract: DUX4 can be used as a biomarker for predicting a patient's response to immunotherapy, and inhibition of DUX4 can be used in therapeutic methods for treating DUX4+ cancers. Accordingly, aspects of the disclosure relate to a method for treating cancer in a patient comprising administering a DUX4 inhibitor to the patient. Further aspects of the disclosure relate to a method for treating a DUX4+ cancer in a patient, the method comprising administering a checkpoint inhibitor to the patient. Other aspects relate to a composition comprising a DUX4 inhibitor and a checkpoint inhibitor.

  • Publication number: 20210353008
Abstract: A decorative cover configured to conceal a button or an edge. The decorative cover provides a variety of fashion options for updating existing clothing. When concealing a button, the decorative cover comprises a cover component and a button engaging component attachable to a back of the button engaging component. The cover component may retain an outward facing ornamental button or other decorative element. The button engaging component is configured to secure the decorative cover to the button to update the look of a garment. When concealing an edge, the decorative cover comprises a trim component and an edge engaging component. The trim component fits around the edge to update the look of the edge and is held in place via a plurality of clips or an elastic band configured to engage buttons along the edge.

  • Publication number: 20210038653
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods of treating facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). In an example, a method of treatment includes administering to a subject an agent that increases NuRD and/or CAF-1 complex repression of DUX4, thereby reducing or inhibiting one or more signs or symptoms associated with muscular dystrophy. In other examples, the treatment method includes administering an agent that increases the activity and/or expression of NuRD/MBD2 and/or MBD1/CAF-1 complex members, thereby reducing or inhibiting one or more signs or symptoms associated with muscular dystrophy. Also disclosed is a method of treatment of FSHD including administering to a subject an effective amount of an MBD3L protein inhibitor to treat one or more signs or symptoms associated with FSHD.

  • Patent number: 10127316
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving unstructured text from a user of a social-networking system, determining whether the unstructured text includes a request for a recommendation, identifying one or more first entity names in the unstructured text, generating a structured query based upon the one or more first entity names, identifying, in the social graph, one or more second entity names corresponding to the structured query, and presenting the one or more second entity names and the unstructured text in a social context of the user. The unstructured text may include text of a post or message generated by the user on a social-networking system. A score may be generated based on the unstructured text to determine whether the text includes a request for recommendation using a machine-learning model based on comparison of the unstructured text to the one or more predetermined words associated with requests for recommendation.

  • Publication number: 20170220590
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a text query inputted by a first user, identifying objects associated with the online social network, each identified object having a name string matching at least in part a portion of the text query, determining a probability score for each identified object that the identified object corresponds to a respective portion of the text query, selecting one or more of the identified objects based on the probability score of the identified object, identifying one or more grammars of a grammar model, each identified grammar having query tokens corresponding to at least one of the selected objects, and sending instructions for presenting suggested queries to the first user, each suggested query comprising the text string, a query token corresponding to one of the selected objects, and one or more additional query tokens of the identified grammar corresponding to the respective selected object.

  • Patent number: 9679080
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes accessing a social graph that includes a plurality of nodes and edges, receiving an unstructured text query, identifying nodes and edges that correspond to n-grams of the text query, accessing a context-free grammar model, identifying grammars having query tokens that correspond to the identified nodes and edges, determining a score for each identified grammar, and then generating structured queries based on the identified grammars based on strings generated by the grammars.
