  • Publication number: 20230399648
Abstract: The disclosure describes methods for measuring the potency of anti-Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) antibody against respiratory syncytial virus in a cell culture system using an RSV reporter virus. The disclosure also describes respiratory syncytial viruses that carry a reporter gene, and expression vectors for producing an infectious recombinant respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) that carry a reporter gene.

  • Publication number: 20070065867
Abstract: This invention provides a series of low-copy number plasmids comprising restriction endonuclease recognition sites useful for cloning at least three different genes or operons, each flanked by a terminator sequence, the plasmids containing variants of glucose isomerase promoters for varying levels of protein expression. The materials and methods are useful for genetic engineering in microorganisms, especially where multiple genetic insertions are sought.

  • Patent number: 6543072
Abstract: A knapsack-type sleeping bag includes a knapsack portion and a sleeping-bag portion having an edge integrally connected to a lining of the knapsack portion. The knapsack portion is provided with an opening openably closed with a zipper. The sleeping-bag portion, when it is not in use, is compressible and foldable into a compact body for receiving in the knapsack portion via the opening. To use the sleeping-bag portion, simply unzip the opening and pull the sleeping-bag portion out of the knapsack portion via the opening. The sleeping-bag portion pulled out of the knapsack portion can be unzipped and turned open to provide an expanded pad. A waterproof and/or insulating fabric can be detachably attached to a top of the turned open sleeping bag to protect the latter from getting dirt.
