Abstract: A way of configuring access to a database is provided. An apparatus is provided that comprises a storage unit and a controller communicatively coupled to the storage unit. The controller is adapted to store a master profile for accessing the database in the storage unit and store a user access name to access the database in the storage unit. The controller is further adapted to configure a user access level based on the master profile and the access name.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling access to a database. The apparatus comprises a storage unit and a controller communicatively coupled to the storage unit. The controller is adapted to store a relationship between at least a first form and a second form of the database in the storage unit and to store a user access name to access the database in the storage unit, the access name having an associated user access level for accessing the database. The controller is further adapted to allow access to the database based on the relationship and the user access name at the user access level.
