Publication number: 20240193262Abstract: To facilitate improved email and device security, embodiments of systems and methods include intercepting, by a processor associated with an entity, an internet request, where the internet request is produced by a link received in an email at a first computing device. The processor determines that the link is externally bound relative to an entity network. The processor determines an existence of a sandbox environment instance in a set of existing sandbox environment instances. The processor routes the link through the sandbox environment instance. The processor updates the sandbox log in the database based on the sandbox environment instance and the link. The processor causes to display on a screen of the first computing device a user interface for interacting with the link in the sandbox environment instance, and the processor logs activities associated with interacting with the link in a security log.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2024Publication date: June 13, 2024Inventors: Vincent Pham, Joseph Boayue, Lee Adcock, Geeta Shyamala, Ana Cruz, Christopher Camenares, Nahid Farhady Ghalaty

Patent number: 11966864Abstract: Aspects described herein may provide determination of a pedestrian route for a user to reach a seating area inside of a venue. Financial transaction data of the user may be reviewed to determine the user purchased one or more tickets to an event at the venue. Information regarding the event or the venue may be determined including seating charts for the venue and whether the tickets are for assigned or unassigned seats. Crowd densities inside and outside of the venue may be determined. The pedestrian route may be determined based on the crowd densities, number of tickets, and type of seating. The route may be updated as conditions change including any change to the crowd densities or change to seating availability. The route may increase a likelihood that the user reaches the seating area prior to a start of the event, and in a less stressful manner.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2023Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Captial One Services, LLCInventors: Lee Adcock, Ana Cruz, Christopher Camenares, Nahid Farhady Ghalaty

Patent number: 11958038Abstract: A group of reductive 2D materials (R2D) with extended reactive vacancies and a method for making the R2D with extended reactive vacancies are provided, especially the example of the reductive boron nitride (RBN). To create defects such as vacancies, boron nitride (BN) powders are milled at cryogenic temperatures. Vacancies are produced by milling, and the vacancies can be used to reduce various metal nanostructures on RBN. Due to the thermal stability of the RBN and the enhanced catalytic performance of metal nanostructures, RBN-metals can be used for different catalysts, including electrochemical catalysts and high temperature catalysts.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2021Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: The Penn State Research FoundationInventors: Mauricio Terrones, Yu Lei, He Liu, Kazunori Fujisawa, Ana Laura Elias Arriaga, Tianyi Zhang, Rodolfo Cruz-Silva, Morinobu Endo, Xiaoxing Wang, Cynthia Guerrero-Bermea

Publication number: 20240068965Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for serial femtosecond crystallography for reducing the vast amount of waste of injected crystals practiced with traditional continuous flow injections. A micrometer-scale 3-D printed water-in-oil droplet generator device includes an oil phase inlet channel, an aqueous phase inlet channel, a droplet flow outlet channel, and two embedded non-contact electrodes. The inlet and outlet channels are connected internally at a junction. The electrodes comprise gallium metal injected within the 3-D printed device. Voltage across the electrodes generates water-in-oil droplets, determines a rate for a series of droplets, or triggers a phase shift in the droplets. An external trigger generates the droplets based on the frequency of an XFEL utilized in droplet detection, thereby synchronizing a series of droplets with x-ray pulses for efficient crystal detection. The generated droplets can be coupled to an SFX with XFEL experiment compatible with common liquid injector such as a GDVN.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Alexandra ROS, Daihyun KIM, Austin ECHELMEIER, Jorvani CRUZ VILLARREAL, Ana EGATZ-GOMEZ, Sebastian QUINTANA

Publication number: 20230282207Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for providing communication recommendations to users. The system receives electronic transcripts associated with a first user and generates, based on the transcripts, a communication profile of the user. The system also receives additional user transcripts associated with a plurality of additional users and generates additional communication profiles for those additional users based on the additional transcripts. The system receives a request to communicate with at least one user within the plurality of additional users regarding a specified topic, identifies a second user from within the plurality of additional users, and generates a communication initiation recommendation for the first user to communicate with the second user. The system then transmits the communication initiation recommendation to a first user computing device associated with the first user.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2023Publication date: September 7, 2023Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Christopher CAMENARES, Joseph BOAYUE, Lee ADCOCK, Ana CRUZ, Nahid Farhady GHALATY

Publication number: 20230274745Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for generating a quantifiable communication profile of a participant, then using that communication profile to identify fake media and/or verify media as authentic. An exemplary system can receive communications in which a participant was one of the parties communicating, perform natural language processing and statistical analyses on the received communications, and generate a participant communication profile which details how the participant communicates and prefers to be communicated with. The system can also receive media purported to be from the participant, perform natural language processing on the purported media, compare the syntax of the purported media to the participant’s communication profile, and identify, based on word usage, the media as a fake.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2023Publication date: August 31, 2023Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Christopher CAMENARES, Joseph BOAYUE, Lee ADCOCK, Ana CRUZ, Nahid Farhady GHALATY

Patent number: 11720897Abstract: A configured application for authorizing a credit card by a user and a method that may include receiving an electronic request to pair a mobile device associated with a user with a credit card of the user. The credit card may include a location tracking circuitry to remotely communicate a location of the credit card to a remote electronic recipient. The location of the credit card may be received by a processor from the remote electronic recipient. A proximity multi-factor authentication may verify that the user is an authorized user of the credit card. The mobile device associated with the user may be paired with the credit card of the user after verifying that the user is the authorized user. The processor may receive the location of the credit card paired with the mobile device from the remote electronic recipient. The location of the credit card may be displayed on a display of the mobile device associated with the user.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2021Date of Patent: August 8, 2023Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Christopher Camenares, Joseph Boayue, Ana Cruz, Lee Adcock, Nahid Farhady Ghalaty, Vincent Pham, Geeta Shyamala

Patent number: 11699437Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for quantifying meeting effectiveness for an individual. A system configured as disclosed herein uses data from multiple meetings in which a user participated to create a user profile for the user. The system then receives data related to a new meeting in which the user participated, processes the new meeting data into segments using natural language processing, tags the resulting segments based on contexts, and compares the tagged segments to the user profile to generate a meeting effectiveness score for the new meeting which is specific to the user. The system can use machine learning to iteratively improve an ability of the system to generate the tagged segments using historical meeting data and updating that historical meeting data with each iteration of scoring a meeting's effectiveness.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2020Date of Patent: July 11, 2023Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Christopher Camenares, Jason Trost, Patrick Sofo, Joseph Boayue, Geeta Shyamala, Ana Cruz, Nahid Farhady Ghalaty, Vincent Pham
