    Abstract: The invention provides a method of regenerating a fouled membrane removed from a process line. The membrane is regenerated by immersing at least a portion of it into an agitated enzyme solution. The agitation is provided by a gas injected into the enzyme solution and is thought to assist enzyme in the enzyme solution to contact the foulant. Also disclosed is a membrane regenerated by the method.
