  • Publication number: 20210025939
Abstract: A system detects physical variables of at least one component of a tapped transformer and monitors the at least one component of the tapped transformer. The system includes a computer in communicating with a measuring instrument, which is in communicating connection with a sensor for reception of the physical variables. The computer receives the physical variables, which are collected in the measuring instrument, as a function of time of the at least one sensor; filters the physical variables as a function of time to generate filtered signals, and creates from the filtered signals a highly resolved envelope representing a signal level of the physical variables; and determines a first limit value curve and a second limit value curve, the position of which is variable in a direction of an ordinate, and the first limit value curve represents the limit value.

  • Patent number: 10542612
Abstract: A device (1) for providing an amount of power to a gas discharge lamp (2) comprises a control circuit (3) for controlling a supply circuit (4) for supplying the power according to a power versus voltage graph (10). A calculator (30) calculates a boundary voltage value as a function of a measured voltage value of a voltage signal that has been measured after a predefined time-interval from a cold start of the gas discharge lamp (2). A more accurate boundary voltage value results in more stability and in less time required to reach a steady state. The calculator (30) may be arranged for calculating the boundary voltage value as a function of a minimum voltage value of the voltage signal and of a steady state voltage value of the voltage signal. A memory (31) may store voltage values of the voltage signal and a processor (32) may update these voltage values.

  • Patent number: 8063580
Abstract: A pair of magnetically coupled inductors forms a current-compensated choke arrangement for reducing electromagnetic disturbances and for weakening the effects of glitch pulses during the ignition of a high-pressure discharge lamp. To further reduce these disturbances and glitch pulses, a resistor having a resistance value that is based on the impedance of the inductors within a given frequency range is arranged in series between a voltage source and the ignition device of the high-pressure discharge lamp. A filter capacitor across the input side of the current-compensated choke also further reduces these disturbances and glitch pulses.
