  • Patent number: 7661624
Abstract: An aerodynamic lifting-thrusting propulsion device has a frame with an axis, relative to which the frame is arranged with a possibility of rotation, a cardan joint having a cross, at least two aerodynamic surfaces, each of which is mounted on the cardan joint with a possibility of oscillations synchronously with a rotation of the frame, a rod mounted on the frame, the cardan joint being connected with the rod, the cross of the cardan joint having axes which are mutually perpendicular and located correspondingly in mutually perpendicular planes intersecting along an axis of the rod, one of the axes of the cross extending through an axis of rotation and an axis of the rod, the rod being arranged parallel to an axis of the frame, the axis of the frame being connected with each of the aerodynamic surfaces by a mechanical transmission providing a rotation of the aerodynamic surface synchronously and opposite to a rotation of the frame.

  • Publication number: 20080219848
Abstract: The inventive propeller consists of a shaft comprising at least two hubs which are mounted thereon and provided with blades fixed to each of them. Each blade has a front and rear sharp edges and is embodied in such a way that the greater airfoil thickness thereof is equal to (0.10-0.25)b along the blade span, wherein b is the mean chord of the blade. The greatest airflow thickness of each blade is located in the middle of each mean chord and is twisted around an axis passing through the middles of the mean chords along the blade span. The blade can be fixed to each hub at an angle of <90° with respect to the radius thereof, thereby reducing a local aerodynamic drag and aerodynamic loads. The inventive propeller can be provided with a fixed cylindrical enclosure which embraces all blades and extended in front of the blades of the front hub at a distance which is equal to or greater than the blade span, thereby increasing a torque effect value.

  • Patent number: 7090164
Abstract: A method of producing a lifting force and a horizontal force by aerodynamic surfaces includes the steps of moving aerodynamic surfaces along a circumference and providing their oscillations; rotating each of the aerodynamic surfaces synchronously with the movement along the circumference, in a direction which is opposite to it, relative to an axis of rotation which is parallel to an axis of the movement along the circumference, with an angular speed which is equal to an angular speed of the movement along the circumference, and performing oscillations of each of the aerodynamic surfaces synchronously with a rotation relative to mutually perpendicular axes located correspondingly in two mutually perpendicular planes which intersect along an axis of rotation of the aerodynamic surfaces, wherein one of them passes through an axis of the movement along the circumference and the axis of rotation.
