The syringe includes a needle shield and a medicament container comprising a shoulder. The housing includes a flexible arm extending in the axial direction relative to the longitudinal axis, the flexible arm having an inwardly extending protrusion arranged in a gap between the shoulder and the needle shield. The syringe carrier has a proximal portion and a distal portion, and the proximal portion is arranged adjacent to the flexible arm of the housing so that movement of the flexible arm of the housing in a radial direction relative to the longitudinal axis is restricted by the proximal portion of the syringe carrier.
