Patent number: 9449593Abstract: Disclosed is a computer system comprising an audio processing module, an echo cancellation module and a control module. The audio processing module is configured to process an audio signal and output the processed audio signal to e.g. a speaker (or similar) of the system. The echo cancellation module is configured to cancel echo from an audio signal received via e.g. a microphone (or similar) of the system. The control module is configured to detect a condition indicative of nonlinear amplitude processing by the audio processing module and control said echo cancellation by the echo cancellation module based on the detected condition.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2014Date of Patent: September 20, 2016Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Lars Anders Ekman, Jesus de Vicente Peña

Patent number: 8949114Abstract: An objective quality assessment method for obtaining an improved estimate of a perceptual quality degradation of a processed signal, and an arrangement for executing such a method, is provided, which is executed on a processed signal and an associate reference signal. Both signals are split up into associated frame-pairs after which either all or selected frame-pairs are processed further, by creating a reference residual signal and a processed residual signal for each frame-pair, calculating separate ratios of p-norms on both residual signals, and by calculating and storing a per-frame quality estimate on the basis of the ratios of p-norms for each selected frame-pair. An objective per-signal quality estimate that is proportional to the perceptual quality degradation is then provided by aggregating the calculated per-frame-pair quality estimates.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2009Date of Patent: February 3, 2015Assignee: Optis Wireless Technology, LLCInventors: Volodya Grancharov, Anders Ekman

Publication number: 20110295599Abstract: Methods, devices, and computer programs described herein may segment a reference signal that corresponds to a non-degraded signal into a plurality of reference signal segments; generate filter coefficients based on each reference signal segment; and filter each reference signal segment with its corresponding generated filter coefficients. The methods, devices, and computer programs may also filter a degraded signal, which includes a delayed signal of the reference signal, with each of the generated filtering coefficients to produce a number of degraded signals equivalent to a number of the plurality of reference signal segments; perform time-wise alignment for each filtered degraded signal with respect to each corresponding filtered reference signal segment; and output a time offset based on the performing.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2009Publication date: December 1, 2011Applicant: TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET LM ERICSSON (PUBL)Inventors: Volodya Grancharov, Anders Ekman

Publication number: 20060131937Abstract: A support system for a seat, comprising a pair of side margins and sets of transverse wires, wherein each set of transverse wires is characterized by a particular convolution pattern. Sets of transverse wires having different convolution patterns are paired in various arrangements to create an expanded traversing region between the transverse wires or an aligned section along the transverse wires. The expanded traversing region allows larger seat components, such as ventilation system components, to be assembled through the expanded traversing regions. The aligned sections of transverse wires may be fastened together and to other seat components to secure the expanded traversing region and the placement of the seat components through the expanded traversing region. In an alternative arrangement, the base sections of the side margins are extended substantially perpendicular to the side margins to form a base support having a particular convolution pattern.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2004Publication date: June 22, 2006Applicant: Pullmaflex-Benelux NV, a Belgium Corporation Airport KortijkInventors: Olivier Vanthournout, Anders Ekman

Patent number: 5927817Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly includes a seat back with a seat back foam cushion therein having front and rear surfaces. The seat back foam cushion includes a plurality of air channels formed therethrough from the front to rear surface. A lower seat includes a lower foam cushion therein having top and bottom surfaces. The lower foam cushion includes a plurality of air holes formed therethrough from the top to the bottom surface. A porous trim cover is positioned over the seat back foam cushion and lower foam cushion. A first impeller is positioned in fluid communication with the plurality of air channels for creating a vacuum for drawing heat and moisture away from the trim cover material. Similarly, a second impeller is positioned in fluid communication with the plurality of air holes in the lower foam cushion for creating a vacuum for drawing heat and moisture away from the trim cover material.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1997Date of Patent: July 27, 1999Assignee: Lear CorporationInventors: Anders Ekman, Jack Kagerin, Kent Thuresson

Patent number: 5873633Abstract: An armrest lock is provided for a motor vehicle armrest that is pivotally connected in a motor vehicle through a linkage to permit pivotal movement of the armrest between a raised position and a lowered position. The armrest lock includes a cam pin extending from the linkage. A lock plate is pivotally mounted on the vehicle and includes a cam slot formed therein with first and second slot portions for receiving the cam pin. A spring pivotally biases the lock plate with respect to the vehicle. The lock plate is sufficiently weighted to effect pivotal movement against the spring bias as a result of its own inertia in a sudden deceleration to allow the cam pin to enter the first slot portion to engage the armrest lock to prevent further pivotal movement of the armrest.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 1997Date of Patent: February 23, 1999Assignee: Lear CorporationInventors: Ulf Lang, Anders Ekman
