Abstract: An insulated DC-cable and method for production of an insulated DC-cable with an insulating system comprising an extruded cross-linked polyethylene based insulation disposed around the conductor. The extruded polyethylene based compound comprises additives such as cross-linking agent, scorch retarding agent and antioxidant. The scorch retarding agent comprises a compound (D), 2,4-diphenyl-4-methyl-pentene-1 and the antioxidant comprises a compound (C), a diester of 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionicacid and thiodiglycol. The compounded polyethylene based resin composition is extruded and cross-linked at a temperature and for a period of time sufficient enough to cross link the insulation. The temperature and the period of time upon extrusion and cross-linking are limited so as to substantially suppress or essentially avoid undesired polar by-products being formed in the cross-linked composition.

Abstract: The invention relates to an absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin, an incontinence guard, or a panty-liner, which article has a generally elongated shape with a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction and exhibits two side edges (9, 10), two end portions (6, 7), and a crotch portion (8) located between the end portions (6, 7), which article further exhibits a liquid-pervious cover layer (2), intended to be facing the user during use, and a liquid-impervious cover layer (3), intended to be facing away from the user during use. The article comprises at least within the crotch portion (8) a stiffening element (15) of a material with a very high intrinsic stiffness, whereby the article in the crotch portion (8) has an extension in the transverse direction which during use of the article is between 40 mm and 15 mm and preferably is between 20 mm and 35 mm.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of detecting and classifying objects using radar. The method means that a broadband radar signal comprising wavelengths that coincide with characteristic lengths of targets to be detected and classified is transmitted. Further, a returned echo signal is received and analysed, at which a signal analysis in a combined time-frequency domain is used, which comprises determining characteristic frequencies in the signal return and their mutual time relations. Finally, a comparison with the corresponding stored values of an analysis of possible targets is performed.
