  • Patent number: 8381251
Abstract: A method and device for test receiving alternative reception frequencies without interrupting the reception of specific user terminating information by use of only one reception chain. In certain information streams, such as that of a terrestial digital video broadcasting system (DVB-T), there is no provisions for time slots when an alternative reception frequency can be test received without interrupting flow of information. According to the invention the continuous flow of information is classified into specific user terminating information which is desired by the receiver in question, or user of, and into other information. The behavior of the specific user terminating information is used to determine when an interruption of the other information can occur for test receptions of alternative reception frequencies without interrupting the reception of the specific user terminating information.

  • Patent number: 7232497
Abstract: A fire-resisting composite glass is comprised of at least two glass plates (1, 2) and an interspaced cavity (6). The distance between the glass plates (1, 2) is determined by an encompassing bead (3) of plastic spacer material. In addition, in the margin region between the glass plates (1, 2) a bead (4) of sealing material is introduced. With the aid of at least one core element an opening is formed in the bead (3) of spacer material for filling the cavity (6). After the filling, this opening is closed with an entrainer stopper and simultaneously the cavity (6) is vented. During the closing the plastic spacer material (3) is joined again in the region of the opening and subsequently the entrainer stopper is covered with sealing material (4). The method and the device for carrying out the method permits the automatic application of encompassing beads (3, 4) of spacer material or of sealing material as well as the sealing and protection of the margin regions before the cavity (6) is filled.

  • Publication number: 20020067735
Abstract: A telecommunication system comprising an existing node with at least an existing switch with physical inlets and a local address space for addressing said physical inlets. At least one additional switch is added to the system, one of said additional switches residing in node that is external to the existing node. The additional switch or switches in the external node have also physical inlets and a local address space or spaces for addressing its switch inlets. A global address space is created which comprises at least the local address spaces of the existing switch and said one additional switch in the external node. The existing node has a connection handler for controlling the existing switch in the existing node and said one additional switch in the external node using the global address space (FIG. 2).

  • Patent number: 6236657
Abstract: For distributive services in telecommunications networks, and in particular methods for establishing point-to-multipoint connections and multipoint-to-point connections as well as methods of releasing these types of connections. Program distribution to several subscribers uses network resources in common along common call routes. A list of potential program distribution points is created and a running index is associated with each one of the distribution points. Before a connection is set up to a subscriber the list is examined and a distribution point is selected from which a point-to-point connection is set up to the subscriber. The running index is stepped up. The running index of a distribution point is stepped down during release of a connection and is examined with release of a call route section.

  • Patent number: 6178168
Abstract: User terminals are connected to a telecommunication system. The telecommunication system includes a control system for the control, such as set-up, release and modification, of connections between the user terminals. A large portion of functions are common for control of dynamical as well as semi-permanent connections. Control of a connection can be initiated from any of the user terminals to which the connection relates, or from other user terminals. Control data for the connections can be stored in different types of storage resources in the control system, the different types of storage resources having different degrees of reliability.

  • Patent number: 6044065
Abstract: A resource model for modeling the resources of a telecommunication network that uses a number of different switching technologies. The resource model comprises three layers, a network layer, a node layer and a component layer, each layer comprising resource objects. The resource objects of the network layer are encapsulated to applications which use the network. The resource objects of the node layer are encapsulated to the resource objects of the network layer and the resource objects at the component layer are encapsulated to the resource objects of the node layer. The resource model comprises connection handling function for setting up connections in the telecommunication network. The functions are divided into function components.

  • Patent number: 5936951
Abstract: A method of dynamic resource allocation in a stratified network structure having a dynamically switched first stratum network and at least a second stratum network underlying the first overlying stratum network. At least a first route in the first stratum is provided with a first relation which points out two access points in the second stratum. A connection between the access points in the second stratum network is established and includes a second number of resources generally referred to as an infrastructure. The infrastructure is finally assigned to the first route.

  • Patent number: 5831843
Abstract: A device for converting direct voltage into a three phase alternating voltage having a two level converter connected to a direct voltage network and to an alternating voltage network. A control apparatus for performing pulse width modulation determines the pulse width modulation pattern for each phase by comparing a triangular wave for each phase with a reference alternating voltage. The triangular wave is inverted an even number of times during a fundamental oscillation of the reference alternating voltage and the time position of the inversions of each triangular wave is always such that two triangular waves are half a period displaced with respect to the third.

  • Patent number: 5195890
Abstract: A device for supporting artificial teeth, which device is intended to be secured to anchoring elements in a jaw, includes tubes, which are secured to the anchoring elements, and a bridge formed as an integral piece and fixed to the end surfaces of the tubes. The end surface of each tube is in the same plane as the corresponding engagement surface on the bridge. For making the device, one or more planes are determined, giving the bridge a suitable position in relation to the anchoring elements, and the tubes are cut such that their end surfaces will be located in the planes when the device has been secured to the anchoring elements. Each of the engagement surfaces of the bridge is thereafter processed so as to be located in the same plane as the end surface of the corresponding tube, and the bridge is finally secured to the tubes by welding.
