  • Publication number: 20230212916
Abstract: A wear support assembly includes a wear pad arranged on top of a support plate, wherein the support plate has a lower surface for connecting to a raise boring tool and both the wear pad and the support plate have at least one hole for receiving a bolt to connect the wear pad to the support plate. Also, a raise boring tool for raise boring operations includes a reamer head having a body, a plurality of roller cutters connected to the body using a holder, a nose or drive stem connected the body, and at least one wear support assembly, wherein each support plate is connected directly to the raise boring tool and each wear pad is radially or perpendicularly bolted to each support plate.

  • Publication number: 20230072404
Abstract: A roller cutter for a drill head for raise boring. The roller cutter having a shaft with a longitudinal center line, a hub rotatably mounted on the shaft, and a seal retainer located between the axial ends of the hub and the shaft at least arranged at one end of the roller cutter. The seal retainer supports a primary cutter seal providing sealing between the shaft and the hub in both axial and radial directions. A secondary cutter seal is located between the seal retainer and the hub, such that the secondary cutter seal provides sealing in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 10392865
Abstract: A cutter for a boring head having a shaft is mountable at a saddle. A roller body is rotatably mounted about the shaft via bearings housed at a cavity located radially between the shaft and the roller body. A lubrication fluid is configured to flow internally within the shaft via a first and second passageway. An elongate overflow chamber is provided in fluid communication with the passageways to receive thermally expanded lubrication fluid from the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20160362943
Abstract: A drill string coupling device is positionable at a joint within a drill string assembly and, in particular, a drive shaft forming part of a drive unit and an adaptor or axially rearwardmost part of the drill string. The coupling device includes at least one sleeve that is axially locked at one of the drill string components by a plurality of engaging wedges that are positioned between the sleeve and the drill string component. A plurality of rotational stops project axially from the sleeve to engage with a second component of the drill string or an element attached to the second component to rotatably lock the two components of the drill string assembly and prevent independent rotation.

  • Patent number: 8375593
Abstract: The invention concerns to a method and arrangement for a suspension system that may be constituted by a harvesting trait of a forestry harvester and which suspension system is of the type that has a wheel supported and provided with an angle sensor in order to form a measurement wheel for the measurement of length, with an arm pivotably attached to a frame in such a manner that the wheel can be adjusted from positions in contact with and out of contact with a surface of the object whose length is to be measured while the object is fed in its longitudinal direction past the measurement wheel running against the circumference of the measurement wheel, whereby the said object may be constituted by a tree trunk taken up into a harvester unit.

  • Publication number: 20110162719
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and an arrangement for a suspension system that may be, but does not necessarily need to be, constituted by a harvesting unit of a forestry harvester and which suspension system is of the type that has an arm (2) on which a wheel (4) is supported and provided with an angle sensor (4a) in order to form a measurement wheel for the measurement of length, and which arm is attached in a manner that allows it to pivot to a frame (3) in such a manner that the wheel can be adjusted from positions in contact with and out of contact with a surface (5) of the object whose length is to be measured while the object is fed in its longitudinal direction (5a) past the measurement wheel running against the circumference of the measurement wheel, whereby the said object may be, but does not necessarily need to be, constituted by a tree trunk taken up into a harvester unit.
