    Abstract: A method for monitoring synchronization deviation in a mobile telecommunication system is disclosed. The system records the deviation in the synchronization between base stations which may be computed from measurements made at handover of a mobile station between base stations and when the deviation exceeds a predetermined threshold, an alarm is triggered which provides an alert to adjust the synchronization of the system.
