  • Patent number: 11150192
Abstract: A liquid electrode tip has a housing with a top, a bottom and at least one peripheral side wall. The housing has a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet. The liquid outlet is located at the top of the housing. A solution reservoir is positioned within the housing. The solution reservoir has a solution inlet in fluid communication with the liquid inlet and a solution outlet in fluid communication with the liquid outlet. A conductor is positioned within the housing with at least a portion of the conductor being submerged by a liquid in the solution reservoir. A staging area at the top of the housing is provided into which the liquid from the solution reservoir flows from the liquid outlet.

Inventors: Neil Johnson, Anders Palmgren, Anthony Nelson
  • Patent number: 11133146
Abstract: A solution electrode glow discharge apparatus has a housing that contains a solid electrode. The solid electrode has a head and a tip. The tip of the solid electrode extends outwards from the housing. At least a portion of the head of the solid electrode is positioned with an electrical and thermal conducting block. An adjustable-polarity power supply is provided in communication with the solid electrode. A cooling mechanism is provided for cooling the electrical and thermal conducting block.

  • Patent number: 5803020
Abstract: The invention relates to a recovery boiler for combustion of waste liquors. It comprises a furnace whose base and walls include a multiplicity of liquid-cooled tubes and whose base (21) constitutes a collection point for inorganic substances in molten form, with air and waste liquor being introduced into the furnace and the combustion gases being conveyed upwards in the boiler. The invention is characterized essentially in that the cross-sectional area of the furnace at a first lower level (1) exceeds the cross-sectional area of the furnace at a second level (2) higher up in the furnace.
