  • Patent number: 11917126
Abstract: An augmented reality, virtual reality, or other wearable apparatus comprises an eye tracking device comprising an image sensor, a lens, and one or more processors. In some embodiments, the lens comprises a marker, and the one or more processors are configured to receive an image from the image sensor, wherein the image shows the marker, determine a distance from the image sensor to the marker based on the image, and change a calibration parameter of an eye tracking algorithm based on the distance. In some embodiments, the one or more processors are configured to receive image data from the image sensor, wherein the image data corresponds to an image as observed through the lens, determine a level or pattern of pincushion distortion in the image based on the image data, and change a calibration parameter of an eye tracking algorithm based on the level or the pattern of pincushion distortion.

  • Patent number: 7784249
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supplying a gas or gas mixture to the inside of partly formed packages which are ready-to-fill, before a subsequent filling and sealing of the packages in a filling machine. The method involves supplying the gas or gas mixture at any given moment as a flow which is radially outwardly and inwardly defined in relation to the inner wall of the package, with the flow being angled with respect to the geometric major longitudinal axis of the package which intersects its opening so that the flow, since it is defined by the inner wall of the package, is positively controlled for the formation of a helical flow vortex.

  • Publication number: 20050267432
Abstract: A nappy, diaper or sanitary pad assembly has an integral pouch made of a flexible fluid impermeable material in an elongated shape aligned inline lengthways with the pad at the outside bottom of the pad. The pouch contains a sealable pre formed bag within an inner portion and a pre-moistened towelletes in an outer portion. The two portions are separated by a flap.

  • Patent number: 4984601
Abstract: Means acting upon the flow, such as pumps or valves are used inter alia in the handling of liquid foodstuffs, e.g. milk, in packing machines. Since the demands on hygiene in this context are very high, especially if the packing machine operates with foodstuff sterilized beforehand, it is a disadvantage that manoeuvering devices for the means acting upon the flow have to pass from the outside into the sterile flow path where the means is located. This is avoided in accordance with the invention in that the means (3) acting upon the flow is combined with an actuator (8) which can be acted upon electromagnetically by a stator (7) isolated from the flow path.

  • Patent number: 4818313
Abstract: A method for regulating the supply of energy to a sealing device for the sealing of thermoplastic material includes supplying electric energy to a sealing device pressed against the combined thermoplastic material with whose help the said electric energy is converted to thermal energy. The amount of energy supplied to the sealing device is variable to compensate for heat losses brought about by heat leakage during the sealing opertion. An arrangement for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4782987
Abstract: In the stepwise feeding of a packing material web for the application of cover strips over prepunched pouring openings, the pouring opening is sensed by means of a photocell which is located at as great a distance from the point of application as the distance between two pouring openings. Any errors in this distance will thus affect the accuracy of application. In order to avoid this is proposed in accordance with the invention to sense the passage of the actual pouring opening and start a countdown sequence, at the end of which the web feed is interrupted with the pouring opening in correct position for the application of the cover strip. An arrangement for the realization of this, seen in the direction of feed of the material web (1) comprises a sensing device (4), a processing device (5) and a forward feeding device (9) which are connected to a control unit (13).
