The battery plates which are to be processed are arranged as plate stacks in a plurality of clamping cassettes which are equipped with the plate stacks arranged in a vertically oriented transportation apparatus which rotates in a circle. The plate stacks and the individual processing stations rotate in a vertically oriented circular movement and can be supplied to the clamping cassette which is positioned in the processing station.

Abstract: An installation for producing batteries is disclosed, having a lead bath station with two heatable and mobile lead bath carriages arranged in an assignable manner at the stationary lead melting pot. Both carriages having a pumping-sucking device that serves for the changing of the lead bath. Molten lead is pumped out of the lead pot into an empty carriage. Both the pumping-sucking devices are arranged pivotably about the axis of rotation (B) and the pivot pin that is fixedly arranged on the carriage is arranged such that it can be separately pivoted about the axis of rotation (A), thus, making it possible for the suction tube and a discharge tube to be moved between the carriage and the led pot.

Abstract: A device for processing battery plates having a centrally arranged processing turntable with a lifting and/or rotating device at the individual processing stations, transporting devices for the battery plates, battery plate packs and finished battery cases. Stationary gripping robots with up to six axes of movement and specially designed grippers are arranged at the processing turntable as a transporting device for feeding the battery plates to be processed and removing the finished battery plates to and from the processing turntable, forming battery plate sets for the battery plate packs, checking the thickness of the set of battery plate packs, straightening and bending the plate lugs, filling the battery cases with the battery plate packs and final inspection. The gripping robots positioned around the processing turntable are arranged movably outside the processing turntable and independently in terms of the sequences of movements.
