Abstract: Some implementations provide an MRI system that includes: a housing having a bore accommodating a portion of a subject; a main magnet enclosed by said housing and configured to generate a substantially uniform magnet field within the bore; a gradient sub-system to provide perturbations to the substantially uniform magnet field; a flexible coil assembly configured to (i) receive radio frequency (RF) signals from the subject in response to the portion of the subject being scanned, and (ii) generate and apply B0 shimming to improve a field homogeneity of the substantially uniform magnetic field; and a control unit configured to: drive the gradient sub-system using a gradient waveform; and receive measurement results responsive to the gradient waveform such that a coupling between the gradient sub-system and the flexible coil assembly is determined and subsequently reduced in response to the determined coupling exceeding a pre-determined threshold.

Abstract: A wind turbine and wave/tidal energy apparatus has a vertical axis blade assembly, a lower cylindrical tube and an upper cylindrical tube. A rotor shaft is connected to the blade assembly and the upper cylindrical tube. A magnetic chamber is housed inside an upper cylindrical frame and is connected with the blade assembly through the rotor shaft. The frictionless levitation chamber is housed inside the upper cylindrical frame. The rotor shaft may protrude through the magnetic chamber into the frictionless levitation chamber and may have a magnet attached on the end of the rotor shaft. The magnetic array chamber is housed inside the lower cylindrical frame and may have a magnetic array axle with plurality of fixed magnets on it. The magnetic array axle may protrude into the frictionless levitation chamber and have a magnet attached to it. The floating inductive coil is located externally of the lower cylindrical frame.

Abstract: A waste container that is configured to be expandable and collapsible so as to provide at least two alternate interior volume capacities. The waste container includes a body having a base member wherein the base member is configured with opposing wheels and a recess for an axle. The body further includes two first ring members and a second ring member wherein the second ring member is intermediate the two first ring members. The second ring member has a diameter that is slightly larger than the first ring members. The two first ring members and a second ring member are configured to be slidably and frictionally engaged so as to provide a first and second position of the waste container. The body further includes a top assembly that is operably coupled to the first ring member above the second ring member. A lid is releasably secure to the top assembly.
