  • Patent number: 6213348
Abstract: A pumping system includes a chamber (10) having an intake orifice (11) for introducing liquid into said chamber (10). A discharge orifice (12) discharges the liquid from the chamber (10). Another orifice (13) receives pressurized gas. A valve is located at each of the orifices (11, 12, 13). The valves (15, 16, 17) are controlled in synchronization according to two phases. During the first phase the valve (15) opens at the intake orifice (11) while the other two valves (16 and 17) are closed, in order to fill the chamber (10). During a second phase the valve (15) associated with the intake orifice (11) is closed while the other two valves (16 and 17) are open, this enabling pressurized gas to be introduced into the chamber (10), thereby expelling the liquid in the chamber (10) through the discharge orifice (12).

  • Patent number: 5619009
Abstract: Improvements applied to the case of a smoke bomb. This invention relates to the envelope of a smoke bomb case.It consists, on the one hand, of a traditional wall (1), resistant to the pressure of the smoke bomb constituents (4) when it is the object of the exothermic reaction of the smoke bomb powder, once it has been initiated by an adequate technique. It comprises, on the other hand, at least one area of reduced resistance (3), formed by a relatively fine layer, the said area being covered by a cover (2) of a resistance comparable to the remainder of the traditional wall (1), and which is pierced by a large number of holes (6, 7, and 8).It is characterized by the fact that each hole (6 or 7 or 8) of said cover (2) has a warped form.

  • Patent number: 4329318
Abstract: A capsule for testing the alcohol content in human breath contains a solid reagent. The capsule is capable of passing a gaseous fluid or liquid in a predetermined quantity for reacting with the reagent. The capsule has a middle part which is almost cylindrical and at least at one end has an orifice for regulating the fluid entering through the orifice and distributing it into the reagent.
